Abstract
ABSTRACT By obtaining some wheat genotypes tolerant to high temperatures and drought in the lowlands through mutation induction, it is expected that wheat genotypes can be developed extensively in the lowlands. In an effort to improve the growth and yield of wheat crop, it needs to be supported by good farming techniques, one of which is the proper fertilization. However, given that manure in the planting medium can be decomposed perfectly so that nutrients can be available for plant growth and development, it is necessary to increase the effective microorganisms with appropriate concentrations. The objectives of this study were: 1) To determine the genotype that had the highest weight of seeds per plant, 2) To determine the genotype, that had a mean weight of seeds per plant is higher than the general average, 3) To find the ideal genotype in several concentrations of effective microorganism, 4) To find the ideal environment for the selection of genotypes on the nature of grain weight per plant. Field research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture experimental garden in Banguntapan, Yogyakarta, with a high ± 115 m above sea level. The study was conducted in May and October 2014. The experimental design used was a complete randomized block design (RAKL) with 2 factors. The first factor is wheat genotypes consisting of three levels, namely: DWR-195/300/1125/9, WL-2265/200/33/183 and WL-2265/300/836/22. The second factor is the effective concentration of microorganisms which consists of three levels, namely: 0 ml/liter of water, 5 ml/liter of water and 10 ml/liter of water, used 3 times replications (blocks). From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that 1) WL-2265/200/33/183 has an average weight of seeds per plant were the highest since the value of the PC 1 > 0 (1.13964), 2) Genotypes had an average weight of seeds per plant is higher than the general average is WL-2265/200/33/183, 3) The ideal genotype WL-2265/200/33/183 is the most stable, and 4) An ideal environment for the selection of genotypes on the nature of grain weight per plant is the environment with the concentration of effective microorganisms 5%.
