Abstract

ABSTRACT Imogiri SUB District is one of the areas through which the two largest rivers in the province of Yogyakarta special region. From the condition authors are interested to do research with title: “POTENTIAL FLOOD PRONE AREAS SUB WATERSHED CELENG RIVER IMOGIRI SUB DISTRICT, BANTUL REGENCY, YOGYAKARTA SPECIAL REGION”. This study aims to determine the potential areas prone to flooding in the study site and determine how to control floods is right both structural and non structural, technical control of floods in SUB Watershed river Celeng, Imogiri sub district, Bantul district, Yogyakarta special region methods of research used among the method of field survey, inspection methods (cross check) field, mapping method, the overlay method, and the scoring method. Based on the evaluation , calculation and observation in the study site , it is known widely SUB Watershed river Celeng boar was 26.43 ( 100% ) . For quite prone areas have extensive 1,49 ( 7% ), an area prone 5.91 ( 22% ), the area is not very prone 3,21 ( 12% ) and broad -prone areas 15.81 ( 59% ) .
