Abstract

Robovision is a robot that has a sensor in the form of the human senses such as vision. To be able to produce a robovision, it is necessary to merge the technologies of robotics and computer vision technology. At this research line follower robot prototype is used as its hardware by applying image processing. The application of image processing aims to obtain data that give instructions to the robot via a microcontroller. Microcontroller will execute the data transmitted from the laptop to find out the response action prototype robot. At the end of this task has been developed and built a prototype robot as a medium of learning and simulation. System development method used is prototyping method with the stage of identifying the basic needs of users, develop a prototype, using a prototype, refine and improve the prototype. The programming language used was C language, while the microcontroller used is ATMega8535. Another device is the webcam that functions as a sensor. The robot detects the passage of lines and colors of red, green and blue by using a webcam and image processing. The results of the detection data that is transmitted to the microcontroller. Microcontroller executes the data and give commands to run and control the speed of DC motors, LED light and buzzer sounds.
