Abstract

Formasi Halang mempunyai litologi dominan terdiri dari perselingan batupasir, batulempung, dan batulanau. Berdasarkan litologi dominan yaitu batupasir, penulis merasa terdorong untuk melakukan pemetaan geologi guna mengetahui proses diagenesis serta potensi diagenesis yang signifikan pada batupasir dari Formasi Halang di daerah penelitian. Daerah penelitian terletak di Kabupaten Purworejo, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Secara administratif terletak pada 375900 mE – 383000 mE dan 9160000 mN - 91651000 mN dengan skala peta 1:20.000. Daerah penelitian berukuran 5,1 km x 7,1 km dan mempunyai luasan 36,21 km 2 masuk ke dalam zona Cekungan Serayu Selatan. Penelitian skripsi ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data lapangan dan analisis data untuk menentukan kondisi geologi dan diagenesis batupasir pada daerah penelitian. Geomorfologi pada daerah penelitian terdiri dari dua satuan bentukasal, yaitu bentukasal fluvial yang terdiri dari bentuklahan dataran banjir (F7). Bentukasal struktura l terdiri dari bentuklahan perbukitan antiklin (S5), lembah antiklin (S16), perbukitan homoklin (S21), lembah homoklin (S22), dan lereng homoklin (S23). Stratigrafi daerah penelitian terdiri dari tiga satuan batuan, dari tua ke muda adalah satuan batupasir Halang berumur Miosen Akhir – Pliosen Awal (N16 – N18), satuan breksi Peniron berumur Miosen Akhir – Pliosen Awal (N18 – N19) dan satuan endapan aluvial berumur Holosen – Resen. Struktur geologi yang ditemukan pada daerah penelitian yaitu berupa struktur lipatan dengan nama upright horizontal fold (Fluety, 1964), struktur sesar dengan nama right thrust slip fault (Rickard, 1972), reverse left slip fault (Rickard, 1972), dan normal slip fault (Rickard, 1972). Analisis petrografi digunakan untuk menganalisis diagenesis batupasir pada Formasi Halang di daerah penelitian berdasarkan gejala-gejala diagenesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, batupasir Halang mempunyai gejala-gejala diagenesis seperti kompaksi, sementasi, rekristalisasi, pelarutan, dan replacement. Stadia diagenesis yang terdapat pada daerah penelitian berdasarkan analisis petrografi secara dominan adalah stadia telogenesis. GEOLOGY AND SANDSTONE DIAGENESIS OF HALANG FORMATION IN CEPEDAK AREA, BRUNO SUB-DISTRICT, PURWOREJO REGENCY, CENTRAL JAVA PROVINCE By: PUTRI RAMADHINA 111.120.071 ABSTRACT Halang Formation has many lithologies consist of sandstone interbedded, claystone, and siltstone. Based on the dominant lithology which is sandstone, the author of this research compelled to undertake geological mapping in order to know the process and the potential significant sandstone diagenesis in Halang Formation. The research area is located in Purworejo, Central Java Province. Administratively this area located in 375900 mE – 383000 mE and 9160000 mN - 91651000 mN with a map scale of 1:20.000. The research area measuring 5,1 km x 7,1 km and has an area of 36,21 km 2 included in South Serayu Basin. This research used collection data in the field and data analysis to determine the geological conditions and sandstone diagenesis in the research area. Based on geomorphology, the research area is divided into two basic form, the fluvial basic form which is subdivided into floodplain (F7). The structural basic form which is subdivided into anticline hills (S5), anticline valley (S16), homocline hills (S21), homocline valley (S22), and homocline slope (S23). The stratigraphy of the research area consists of three different rock units, from the oldest to the youngest respectively are Halang sandstone unit aged Late Miocene – Early Pliocene (N18 – N19), Peniron breccia unit aged Late Miocene – Early Pliocene (N19 – N20) and alluvial deposit unit. The geological structure that found in the research area are upright horizontal fold (Fluety, 1964), right thrust slip fault (Rickard, 1972), reverse left slip fault (Rickard, 1972), and normal slip fault (Rickard, 1972). Petrographic analysis is used to analyze the diagenesis of sandstone in Halang Formation especially in this research area based on diagenesis indication. Based on the analysis, sandstone diagenesis of Halang Formation has an indications such as compaction, cementation, recrystallization, dissolution, and replacement. Diagenesis stage in the research area based on petrographic analysis is predominantly telogenesis stage. Keywords: Geology, Halang Formation, Sandstone, Diagenesis, Telogenesis
