Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian yang berjudul Analisis Pola Komunikasi pada Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Kristen (UKMK) di UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi organisasi yang ada di dalam kehidupan berorganisasi serta mengetahui hambatan – hambatan yang ada dalam pengembangan pola komunikasi tersebut. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis adalah Teori Sistem Sosial dan Teori Informasi Organisasi dimana kedua teori ini memiliki keterkaitan satu dengan yang lain. Metode yang digunakan merupakan Kualitatif Dekriptif yang mencoba mengungkap hal – hal unik di dalam organisasi ini, melalui pola komunikasi yang mereka jalankan. Sumber data dari penelitian ini diperoleh dari data primer dan data sekunder melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam (in depth interview) dengan beberapa informan yang dipilih berdasarkan kebutuhan penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa UKMK merupakan organisasi yang menjalankan sistemnya dengan pendekatan subjektif, dimana komunikasi yang terjadi dalam organisasi terdiri dari komunikasi formal dan informal. Dalam organisasi juga terdapat hambatanhambatan yang bersumber dari media, publik internal dan eksternal dari yang akhirnya membuat komunikasi organisasi tersebut tidak berjalan sesuai harapan. Kata kunci: Pola Komunikasi, Organisasi, Komunikasi Formal, Komunikasi Informal, Hambatan, UKM Kristen. ABSTRAC The research, entitled the Analysis of Communication Patterns of Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Kristen (UKMK) at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta aims to find out the existing organization communication patterns within the life of the Association, as well as knowing the barriers that exist in developing these communication patterns. The theory is used are Social Systems theory and Organization Information Theory where the two theories have linkages with one another. The method used is Qualitative Descriptive who tried to expose it – it is unique within the Organization, through a pattern of communication which they run. The data source of this research was obtained from primary data and secondary data through observation and in-depth interview with some informants were selected based on research needs. The results from this research that the UKMK is an organization that is running the system with the subjective approach, whereby communication is happening in the organization consists of formal and informal communication. In the organization there are also barriers sourced from media, public, internal and external communications of the Organization eventually made do not go according to expectations.
