Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah perbedaan pemberitaan mengenai
pencapresan Jokowi pada Pemilu 2014, mengingat beberapa media dimiliki oleh
politisi yang aktif pada kontestasi Pemilu 2014. Melalui pemberitaan pada
Vivanews dan Okezone.com peneliti mencoba untuk melihat penyajian berita
dalam memberitakan Jokowi. Mengingat pemilik dari kedua portal berita inipun
juga mencalonkan diri sebagai capres dan cawapres. Penelitian ini memakai
teknik deskriptif yang dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Sementara jenis penelitiannya
menggunakan analisis isi yang digunakan untuk memperoleh keterangan dari isi
komunikasi yang disampaikan. Sampel penelitian menggunakan metode total
sampling, dari pemberitaan pencapresan Jokowi selama 27 hari terhitung mulai
dari 14 Maret 2014 hingga 9 April 2014 pada media online Vivanews dan
Okezone.com. Sementara untuk mengukur reliabilitas dalam penelitian ini
digunakan formula Coeficienct reliability. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan
bahwa pemberitaan pada Okezone.com memiliki kecenderungan tidak netral pada
pemberitaannya. Hal itu terlihat dari pemberitaan yang banyak menampilkan
sudut pandang mengenai figur Jokowi sebagai pemimpin tidak amanah serta
minim prestasi dan pengalaman, dominasi kecenderungan berita yang tidak
mendukung atas pencapresan Joko Widodo (Jokowi), sumber berita yang
didominasi oleh intelektual, dan pemberitaanya yang kebanyakan berorientasi
psikologis. Sebaliknya, Vivanews memiliki kecenderung netral dalam
pemberitaanya terkait pencapresan Jokowi pada pemilu 2014. Vivanews lebih
banyak menampilkan sudut pandang dan kecenderungan berita yang netral
mengenai Figur Jokowi, Sumber beritanya lebih variatif dengan menampilkan dari
kubu yang bersebrangan, orientasi beritanya pun seimbang dengan persentase
yang hampir sama antara orientasi psikologis, sosiologis dan kombinasi.
ABSTRACT
The background of this research was difference in coverage on the
nomination of president candidates for the 2014 election, given that some of the
media is owned by the current politicians in the 2014 election contestation.
Through Okezone.com news on Vivanews and researchers are trying to see the
presentation of news in reporting Jokowi. Given the owners of both even this
news portal also run for presidential and vice presidential. This research uses
descriptive techniques performed quantitatively. While this type of research uses
content analysis is used to obtain a description of the contents of communications
submitted. The research sample using total sampling method, from news Jokowi
for 27 days starting from March 14, 2014 until 9 April 2014 in the online media
and Okezone.com Vivanews. Meanwhile, to measure the reliability of the formula
used in this study coeficienct reliability. The results of this study indicate that the
news on Okezone.com have a tendency not neutral in its message. This is evident
from the reports that many of the figures show the angle of view as a leader does
not mandate Jokowi and minimal accomplishments and experience, the
dominance trend of the news that does not support the above president candidates
Joko Widodo (Jokowi), news sources are dominated by intellectuals, and the most
psychologically oriented news, Instead, have a tendency Vivanews related news
neutral in the 2014 election Vivanews Jokowi more displays viewpoint neutral
news and trends on Figure Jokowi, more varied news sources to display from the
opposite camp, the orientation of the news by the percentage was almost same
between psychological orientation, sociological and combinations.
