Abstract
Anime is Japanase animation art which its drawing style influenced by
manga. Anime is a remarkable phenomenon in the development of the
entertainment industry in the world. This series were dominate the top of the
highest rating television series with rating 9.4 on IMDb.com and myanimelist.net
also put serial One Punch Man on Top Anime sequence number 13 with a rating
of 8.99 show. The study entitled Violence Scenes Content Analysis in Serial One
Punch Man Anime Episodes 1-7 uses a quantitative approach to research
methods of content analysis. the theoretical framework of this study uses the
theory of creation, reception and processing messages in which this theory
focuses on how the messages are received, how humans understand, organize,
and use the information contained in the message. The purpose of this study was
to determine the contents of the violence that occurred in the Anime series One
Punch Man episodes 1-7. The results showed that total violence being shown in
this series amounts to 225 times with a duration of 996 seconds. Psychological
violence is the most dominant type of violence with percentage of frequency is
52.9%.. Based on data obtained it can be concluded that One Punch Man Anime
series 1-7 episode contains many elements of violence used to pursue high ratings
and make a profit without regard to the negative impact on the audience,
especially the children.
