INTENTION OF PERMANENT EMPLOYEES PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

One of the phenomena that occur in this study is the relatively high level of turnover
intention of permanent employees in the production department of the weaving division
of PT Primissima (Persero) Yogyakarta. There are many variables that can trigger the
emergence of turnover intention in employees. Some of these variables include work
stress and job satisfaction. Work stress is one of the variables that influence employee
turnover intention. Job satisfaction can be one of the variables causing employee
turnover intention. This study aims to analyze the respective effects of work stress and
job satisfaction on turnover intention of permanent employees of the production
department of the weaving division of PT Primissima (Persero) Yogyakarta. The
population of this study were permanent employees of the production department of
the weaving division of PT Primissima (Persero) Yogyakarta with a sample size of 157
people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection
procedure was carried out by interviewing and distributing questionnaires. Data were
analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results of this study indicate
that: 1) Work stress has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. 2) Job
satisfaction has a negative but not significant effect on turnover intention.

Fenomena yang terjadi dalam penelitian ini diantaranya adalah cukup tingginya tingkat
turnover intention karyawan tetap di departemen produksi bagian weaving PT
Primissima (Persero) Yogyakarta. Terdapat banyak variabel yang dapat memicu
munculnya turnover intention pada karyawan. Beberapa variabel tersebut diantaranya
adalah stres kerja dan kepuasan kerja. Stres kerja adalah salah satu variabel yang
berpengaruh terhadap turnover intention karyawan. Kepuasan kerja bisa menjadi salah
satu variabel penyebab terjadinya turnover intention karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk menganalisis masing-masing pengaruh stres kerja dan kepuasan kerja terhadap
turnover intention karyawan tetap departemen produksi bagian weaving PT Primissima
(Persero) Yogyakarta. Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan tetap departemen
produksi bagian weaving PT Primissima (Persero) Yogyakarta dengan besar sampel
157 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling.
Prosedur pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan penyebaran
kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis Regresi Linear Berganda. Hasil
penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Stres kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan
terhadap turnover intention. 2) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh negatif, namun tidak
signifikan terhadap turnover intention.
