Abstract

ABSTRAK
Balai Pendidikan Menengah Kabupaten Sleman, merupakan UPT dari Dinas Pendidikan,
Pemuda, dan Olahraga Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang sampai saat ini proses memasukkan
dan memproses data pemotongan gaji atau slip gaji dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan
Microsoft Excel dan penggajian karyawan masih menggunakan menggunakan slip gaji sebagai
tanda bukti. Kondisi ini menyebabkan ketidakefektifan dalam pengolahan data dan potensi
terjadinya kesalahan yang mengakibatkan informasi yang tidak akurat dan tidak ter-update.
Dari masalah-masalah di atas maka perlu dibuat sebuah sistem yang berbasis komputer yang
terintegrasi untuk membantu meringankan tugas manajemen. Dalam hal ini khususnya untuk
penggajian karyawan.
Tahapan penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pengumpulan data, analisa dan perancangan
sistem, implementasi dan pengujian serta dokumentasi. Sedang data yang dibutuhkan yaitu
Data Primer dengan wawancara baik dengan Kepala Balai maupun Kepala Sub Bagian Tata
Usaha dan Data Sekunder yaitu data yang ada pada perusahaan, dokumen itu berupa struktur
organisasi, dokumen-dokumen seperti daftar gaji, rekap daftar gaji dan slip gaji karyawan.
Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode Waterfall sebagai metode pengembangan sistem
manajemen basis data yang mampu menyimpan data dalam jumlah besar dan terstruktur.
Sistem berbasis komputer ini diharapkan dapat meringankan tugas manajemen dan
meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pengolahan data penggajian karyawan. Dengan adanya sistem
yang terintegrasi, diharapkan proses penggajian menjadi lebih efektif, akurat, dan mudah untuk
diakses dan diperbarui.

ABSTRACT
The Sleman Regency Middle Education Center, is a UPT from the Special Region of
Yogyakarta Education, Youth and Sports Office which until now the process of entering and
processing payroll deduction data or pay slips is done by using Microsoft Excel and employee
payroll still uses pay slips as proof . This condition causes ineffectiveness in data processing and
the potential for errors to occur resulting in inaccurate and not updated information. From the
problems above, it is necessary to create an integrated computer-based system to help ease
management tasks. In this case especially for employee payroll.
The stages of research include planning, data collection, system analysis and design,
implementation and testing as well as documentation. While the data needed is Primary Data
with interviews with both the Head of the Balai and the Head of Administration Sub-Division
and Secondary Data, namely data that exists in the company, the document is in the form of an
organizational structure, documents such as payroll, payroll recap and employee payslips. This
research will use the Waterfall method as a database management system development method
capable of storing large amounts of structured data.
This computer-based system is expected to ease management tasks and increase
efficiency in processing employee payroll data. With an integrated system, it is hoped that the
payroll process will be more effective, accurate, and easy to access and update.
