PERENCANAAN HIDROLIKA LUMPUR PEMBORAN

menambahkan sumur infill yaitu sumur “TM-01”. Penelitian ini tidak melibatkan
perencanaan hole geometry, casing design, cement design, dan rangkaian
drillstring.
Adapun perencanaannya meliputi penentuan densitas lumpur, penentuan tipe aliran,
penentuan pressure loss, penentuan spesifikasi pompa, perencanaan hidrolika bit
carrying capacity index (CCI) >1.
Flowrate masih
bisa dinaikan hingga 785 gpm dengan kombinasi nozzle 18-18-20. Pada trayek 8-
1/2” direkomendasikan menggunakan flowrate optimum 261,6 gpm dengan nilai
pengangkatan cutting minimum Ft 90,01%, Ca 1,13% dan CCI 2,61. Telah
dikatakan baik dengan kombinasi nozzle bit 10-10-10. Flowrate masih bisa
dinaikan hingga 703,5 gpm dengan kombinasi nozzle 18-18-20.

ABSTRACT
HYDRAULICS DRILLING MUD DESIGN FOR WELL “TM-01”
AT “DZ” FIELD

Field "DZ" is located in the Tertiary stratigraphy of the Central Sumatra Basin. In
this field, drilling will be conducted for field development by adding an infill well,
namely well "TM-01”. Previous drilling programs have been prepared, including
hole geometry, casing design, and the drillstring to be used. In this well, hydraulic
mud planning is required to assist in the process of cuttings removal to ensure
smooth drilling operations. The drilling program is planned to be drilled vertically
to a depth of 2300 ftMD, targeting the Sihapas formation with a sandstone
reservoir.
The hydraulic mud design required for the 12-1/4" and 8-1/2" hole sections. The
planning includes determining mud density, flow regime, pressure loss, pump
specifications, hydraulic bit design to determine the optimum flow rate, and cuttings
lifting planning. The hydraulic optimization will be performed using the BHHP,
BHI and JV methods, and the results will be plotted on a graph. Through the graph,
the trial and error method will be used to determine the recommended flow rate
that can achieve the desired cutting transport ratio (Ft) > 90%, cutting
concentration (Ca) < 5%, and carrying capacity index (CCI) > 1.
In the 12-1/4" hole section, it is recommended to use an optimum flow rate of 626.6
gpm, which achieves a minimum Ft of 90.01%, Ca of 0.87%, and CCI of 1.95, using
the nozzle combination 15-15-16. The flow rate can still be increased up to 785 gpm
by using the nozzle combination 18-18-20. In the 8-1/2" hole section, it is
recommended to use an optimum flow rate of 261.6 gpm, which achieves a minimum
Ft of 90.01%, Ca of 1.13%, and CCI of 2.61, using the nozzle combination 10-10-
10. The flow rate can still be increased up to 703.5 gpm by using the nozzle
combination 18-18-20.
