Abstract

As a part of educational institutions, the Industrial Engineering Department of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) should pay more attention to the quality of service to the stakeholder. One of them is the quality of alumni. This research aimed to trace the alumni resulted from the Industrial Engineering Department of UPNVY and conducted by descriptive method. 87 alumni have been collected through social media, android applications and alumni who reported themselves to the Department. Results showed that the alumni have been settled down and work in various sectors. 69% in the manufacturing industries, 7% in mining and gas industries, 5% in telecommunication companies, 6% taking their graduate studies, 5% chose to be entrepreneurs, 4% automotive, 2% in plantation and the least in banking. The positions held by the alumni are officer or staff (59%), head of department (9%), manager (8%), engineer (7%), supervisor (6%), graduate student (6%) and business owners (5%). Business owners or entrepreneurs are the smallest part, so it is indicated that the effectiveness of the Entrepreneurship subject should be evaluated.
