Abstract

This research was conducted at Pit 2 Banko Barat PT. Bukit Asam Tbk which is located in Tanjung Enim
District, Muara Enim Regency, Souih Sumatra Province. In pit 2 Banko Barat uses an open pil system with ihe
drainage system using the Mine Dewatering method. In pit 2 Banko Barat, it 5 necessary to examine the mine
drainage sysiem, especially during the rainy season because Ihere is a puddle of water on the mining (front and il
is necessary to add open channels and make culveris wilh ceriain dimensions so ihat water can be lowed fo the
main sump, besides ihat it is not yet There is an open channel ihat can help reduce sedimentation and silting
sumps, as well as a silt deposition pond which is currentiy experiencing a reduction in Ike number of
comparimenis due to the progress of ihe mine due to stockpiling s0 it is necessary to assess ihe exteni of whelher
it is still able to accommodate ihe. volume of Incoming water Rainfall plan, namely Log Pearson Type III
distribution, calculation of rain intensity using the Mononobe formula, determination of the area of the rain
catekment using Autocad?2007 software. caleulation of runoff water discharge using aa rational formula and
caleulation of open channel dimensions using ihe Manning formula. mine Now in pit 2 Banko Barat incfudes
analysis of rainfall,. volume of wells, demand for pump3 and pipes, volume of setting ponds and dimensions of
open channels and culverts, Based on the analysis of rainfall data for I0 years (2010-2019), the planned rainfall
was 147.91 mm / day. The intensity of rainfall is 24.65 mm / hour with a return period of 5 years and ihe
hydrological risk is 96.4896. The area of the rain carchment area at the research location is D.87 km”. The
discharge of runoff water entering the pit is 5.37 m? / second.
