Abstract
ABSTRAK
CV Mega Jaya Logam merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi hasil cor logam.
Produk yang dihasilkan oleh perushaan diantaranya adalah manhole, grill, bollard, tiang lampu,
kursi taman dan berbagai olahan baja lainya. Pada pengaturan tata letak fasilitas produksi di
perusahaan ini berlum sesuai dengan urutan proses produksi pengecoran logam. Unit stasiun
kerja yang diletakkan tidak sesuai akan mengakibatkan timbulnya aliran bahan yang
berpotongan sehingga waktu proses produksi akan lebih lama dan jarak perpindahan material
akan semakin jauh.
Penelitian ini membahas tentang perancangan ulang tata letak fasilitas proses produksi
pengecoran logam. Perancangan ulang dilakukan berdasarkan urutan proses produksi. Penelitian
diawali dengan menghitung waktu baku untuk setiap proses dan perpindahan bahan yang terjadi
saat proses pengecoran logam. Setelah itu menghitung jumlah kebutuhan mesin dan kebutuhan
luas area, jarak rectilinear dan momen perpindahan. Perancangan tersebut akan menghasilkan
tata letak fasilitas sesuai dengan urutan aliran proses sehingga mengurangi jarak perpindahan
material.
Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh berupa total momen perpindahan dan waktu perpindahan
pada implementasi usulan rancangan tata letak fasilitas produksi. Total jarak perpindahan bahan
pada tata letak awal adalah 250,6 meter dan tata letak usulan adalah 104,165 dengan persentase
penurunan jarak perpindahan yakni sebesar 58%. Total waktu perpindahan bahan pada tata letak
awal adalah 19,682 menit dan tata letak usulan adalah 8,82 menit dengan persentase penurunan
waktu perpindahan bahan yakni 55,1%. Adapun total momen perpindahan bahan adalah
311953,2 meter perpindahan per tahun dengan persentase penurunan total momen perpindahan
bahan adalah sebesar 43,6%.

ABSTRACT
CV Mega Jaya Logam is a company that produces cast metal products. Products
produced by the company include manholes, grills, bollards, light poles, garden chairs and
various other steel preparations. In the arrangement of the layout of production facilities in this
company not yet in accordance with the order of the metal casting production process. Work
station units that are placed incorrectly will result in the intersection of material flow so that
the production process will take longer and the material transfer distance will be further.
This study discusses the redesign of the layout of the metal casting production process
facility. The redesign is done based on the order of the production process. The study begins by
calculating the standard time for each process and material transfer that occurs during the
metal casting process. After that, calculate the number of machine needs and area
requirements, rectilinear distance and moment of displacement. The design will produce a
facility layout in accordance with the order of the process flow thereby reducing the distance of
material transfer.
From the results of the study obtained in the form of a total moment of displacement
and time of movement in the implementation of the proposed design layout of production
facilities. The total distance of displacement of material in the initial layout is 250.6 meters and
the proposed layout is 104.165 with a percentage decrease in the displacement distance of 58%.
The total material transfer time in the initial layout was 19.682 minutes and the proposed layout
was 8.82 minutes with a percentage reduction in material transfer time of 55.1%. The total
moment of material transfer is 311953.2 meters displacement per year with the percentage
reduction in the total moment of material transfer is 43.6%.
