Abstract

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses kampanye secara keseluruhan yang
dilakukan oleh Yuri-Anca pada Pilkada Belitung Timur tahun 2020. Menggunakan metode
penelitian kualitatif studi deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara,
penelusuran dokumen dan studi pustaka. Selain itu kerangka teoritis pada penelitian ini
menggunakan teori komunikasi dan konsep kampanye politik. Hasil dari penelitian ini
menjelaskan bahwa tim Yuri-Anca menggunakan strategi menyerang. Diawali dengan
menerapkan model perencanaan yakni, analisis khalayak, perencanaan strategi, implementasi
strategi dan evaluasi. Hal ini menarik untuk dikaji dikarenakan lawan dari yuri-Anca
merupakan petahana dengan tingkat popularitas yang tinggi. Penelitian ini juga menjelaskan
faktor penyebab kekalahan Yuri-Anca pada Pilkada Belitung Timur tahun 2020 seperti; focus
tim sukses yang hanya tertuju pada branding Yuri-Kemal, sehingga tidak memperhatikan
pergerakan seluruh tim yang tergabung, kemudian kesalahan dalam menentukan pasangan
untuk Yuri Kemal dan gagal dalam menangani isu blunder yang terjadi pada saat pilkada
berlangsung. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberi manfaat bagi pembaca untuk pengembangan
khusus bagi kandidat yang ingin maju dalam Pilkada selanjutnya.

This study aims to analyze the overall campaign process carried out by Yuri-Anca in
the 2020 East Belitung Regional Head Election. Using a qualitative descriptive study method.
Data collection techniques through interviews, document searches and literature study. In
addition, the theoretical framework in this study uses communication theory and the concept
of political campaigns. The results of this study explain that the Yuri-Anca team uses an
attacking strategy. Beginning with applying the planning model, namely, audience analysis,
strategic planning, strategy implementation and evaluation. This is interesting to study because
the opponent of Yuri-Anca is the incumbent with a high level of popularity. This study also
explains the factors that caused Yuri-Anca's defeat in the 2020 East Belitung Regional Head
Election such as; The focus of the success team was only focused on Yuri-Kemal branding, so
they did not pay attention to the movements of the entire team, then the mistake in choosing a
partner for Yuri Kemal and failed to deal with the problem of blunders that occurred during
the election. This research is expected to provide benefits for readers for special development
for candidates who want to advance in the next Pilkada.
