Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi telah memengaruhi dunia penyiaran di Indonesia dengan munculnya fenomena baru yakni konvergensi. Perubahan sistem siaran dari televisi analog menjadi televisi digital menimbulkan dampak di berbagai bidang, terutama bagi keberlangsungan televisi komunitas. Grabag TV sebagai salah satu televisi komunitas, menghadapi kendala dalam pelaksanaan siaran karena ruang geraknya dibatasi dalam Undang-Undang Penyiaran. Perubahan platform merupakan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan Grabag TV agar tetap eksis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya adaptif yang dilakukan Grabag TV dalam mempertahankan eksistensi dari siaran terrestrial menjadi siaran YouTube. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan model deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan di Grabag TV. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori ekologi media. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Grabag TV telah sepenuhnya beralih menggunakan YouTube sebagai media penyiarannya. Upaya Adaptif yang dilakukan Grabag TV untuk tetap bertahan adalah Pertama, Grabag TV mendaftarkan channel YouTube dengan google Ads dan melakukan monitoring secara berkala dengan YouTube analytics. Kedua, peralihan sumber daya manusia dari warga menjadi siswa-siswi prakerin. Ketiga, perubahan sistem siaran. Keempat, merubah tagline, membangun image, dan mengamati respon audiens. Kata Kunci: Grabag TV, Televisi Komunitas, Konvergensi Media, YouTube ABSTRACT The development of communication and information technology has affected the broadcasting world in Indonesia with the emergence of a new phenomenon of convergence. Changes in the broadcast system from analog television to digital television have had an impact in various fields, especially for the continuity of community television. Grabag TV as one of the community television, faces obstacles in broadcasting because its space for movement is limited in the Broadcasting Law. Changing the platform is one of the efforts made by Grabag TV in order to exist. The purpose of this study was to find out how the adaptive efforts made by Grabag TV in maintaining the existence of terrestrial broadcasts became YouTube broadcasts. The method used is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive model. The technique of collecting data is through interviews, observation, and documentation carried out at Grabag TV. The theory used in this study is the theory of media ecology. The results of this study are that Grabag TV has completely switched to using YouTube as its broadcast media. The additional efforts made by Grabag TV to stay afloat are First, Grabag TV registers the YouTube channel with Google Ads and periodically monitors with YouTube analytics. Second, the transition of human resources from citizens to engineering students. Third, changes to the broadcast system.
