Abstract

This research was conducted at Farmers Group Bismo in Yogyakarta,
Particularly in locations Talkondo Hamlet, Poncosari Village, Srandakan
District, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to modify the grain
thresher multipurpose tool that already exist and develop ways of working
multipurpose seed threshing machine before, that where the modification in the
old grain thresher tool, can improve the quality of grain ruin result.
The design modification is done by means of interviews and questionnaires
to consumers who use the tool, so that the tool will be made in accordance with
the wishes and needs of consumers who use. Then, do the modification design tool
using Quality Function Deployment (QFD).
Based on the results of data processing is done by using Quality Function
Deployment (QFD) tools were modified to have specifications more than ever is
as follows, the tool may work better in terms of quality of Ruin, faster shed grain,
more practical in terms of mobility , more kinds of agricultural produce that can
be threshed. Once the specification is appropriate tools tested, the test results of
all components of the tool can be run properly.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelompok Tani Bismo di Yogyakarta,
Khususnya di lokasi Dusun Talkondo, Desa Poncosari, Kecamatan Srandakan,
Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah
untuk memodifikasi alat perontok biji multiguna yang sudah ada dan
mengembangkan cara kerja mesin perontok biji yang multiguna sebelumnya, yang
dimana dengan adanya modifikasi pada alat perontok biji yang lama, dapat
meningkatkan kualitas hasil biji rontokkan.
Perancangan modifikasi alat dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara
dan kuisioner kepada konsumen yang menggunakan alat tersebut, sehingga alat
yang akan dibuat sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan para konsumen yang
menggunakan. Kemudian dilakukan perancangan modifikasi alat menggunakan
metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) .
Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan
metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) alat yang dimodifikasi memiliki
spesifikasi yang lebih dari yang sebelumnya yaitu sebagai berikut, alat dapat
bekerja lebih baik dari segi kualitas hasil rontokkan, lebih cepat merontokkan
biji, lebih praktis dalam segi mobilitasnya, lebih banyak macam hasil tani yang
bisa dirontokkan. Setelah spesifikasi sudah sesuai alat diuji coba, hasil uji coba
semua komponen alat dapat berjalan dengan baik.
