Abstract

Rembang district has non metallic minerals and rocks, mostly non metallic mineral and rock are excavated materials and construction industry spread over several sub-district. Pay attention to the amount of resource, quality and value of its usefulness, there are some non metallic minerals and rocks that have the potential to do cultivation and development. Non metallic minerals and rocks contained in the district of Rembang, among others: sandstone, phosphate, kaolin, calcite, dolomite, soil uruk, tras, sandy limestone, andesite, clay, quartz sand, and limestone, spread over 14 subdistricts. Minerals are quartz sand in the east districts of Rembang and spread across two sub-districs, sub-districts Sedan and Sarang. Quartz sand resources are limited by factors of protected areas and cultivated area is determined by the government based on the spatial pattern map. Map potential resources of quartz sand in the Rembang districts obained by overlaying between quartz sand sediment distribution maps, map spatial patterns, map mining areas, then the resulting distribution maps quartz sand mining region, and overlaid with a topographic map. The results of the fifth map overlay is made into a map that maps the resources potential of quartz sand in the district of Rembang. Assessement of the resource potential of quartz sand using coordinates with the aid program autoCAD. Potential resources of quartz sand in the district of Rembang for 174.142.594,9 ton Kabupaten Rembang memilki bahan galian non logam dan batuan, sebagian besar bahan galian non logam dan batuan tersebut merupakan bahan galian industri maupun konstruksi yang tersebar di beberapa kecamatan. Memperhatikan jumlah sumberdaya, kualitas dan nilai kegunannya, ada beberapa dari bahan galian non logam dan batuan tersebut yang berpotensi untuk dilakukan pengusahaan atau pengembangan. Bahan galian non logam dan batuan yang terdapat di Kabupaten Rembang antara lain: Pasir Batu, fosfat, Kaolin, Kalsit, Dolomit, Tanah Uruk, Tras, Andesit, Tanah Liat, Pasir Kuarsa, dan Batugamping, yang tersebar di 14 Kecamatan. Bahan galian pasir kuarsa terdapat dibagian timur Kabupaten Rembang yang tersebar didua Kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Sedan, dan Kecamatan Sarang. Sumberdaya pasir kuarsa di batasi oleh Kawasan Lindung dan Kawasan Budidaya yang ditentukan oleh pemerintah berdasarkan Peta Pola Ruang Wilayah. Peta Potensi Sumberdaya Pasir kuarsa di Kabupaten Rembang didapatkan dengan melakukan overlay antara Peta Sebaran Endapan Pasir kuarsa, Peta Pola Ruang, Peta Kawasan Pertambangan, maka dihasilkan Peta Sumberdaya Pasir kuarsa di Kawasan Pertambangan, dan di overlay dengan Peta Topografi. Hasil overlay dari kelima peta tersebut dibuat menjadi satu peta yang disebut Peta Sumberdaya Pasir kuarsa Kabupaten Rembang. Penaksiran potensi sumberdaya pasir kuarsa menggunakan metode kontur dengan bantuan program autocad. Potensi Sumberdaya Pasir kuarsa di Kabupaten Rembang sebesar 174.142.594,9 ton.
