Abstract

Keterbukan kaum homoseksual atau gay di Indonesia terhadap masyarakat luas diiringi dengan gayap hidup dikota-kota besar, tempat-tempat pertemuan kaum homoseksual didominasi diruang publik seperti coffee shop, mall dan tempat kebugaran. Dengan adanya hal ini penulis tertarik untuk meneliti sebuah film yaitu Arisan 2 dengan menggunakan rumusan masalah: Bagaimana Representasi Gaya Hidup Gay Dalam Film Arisan 2. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode kualitatif yang fokus pada penelitian semitiotika oleh Roland Barthes yaitu mengaitkan makna dan simbol yang terdapat dalam film Arisan 2. Mempelajari bagaimana manusia memaknai hal-hal. Fokus penelitian lebih kepada pemaparan makna, simbol, pesan serta objek yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam film Arisan 2 ini sang sutradara Nia Dinata ingin menyampaikan pesan kepada khalayak bahwa kaum gay ada disekitar lingkungan sosial dan dalam film arisan 2 ini menampilkan representasi gay, bagaimana sesungguhnya gaya hidup mereka didalam kelompoknya. Dengan hiruk pikuk keadaan kota Jakarta yang menuntut kehidupan yang mewah, sosialita dan juga bagaimana masyarakat yang menerima ataupun yang tidak menerima dengan kehadiran para kaum gay. With this problem, writter interest to research one kind of film is a Arisan 2 with formulation of the problem is : How Representation homosexuals lisfestyle in film Arisan 2. Writter used metode of semiotic, where writter use qualitative research, this study focus used semiotic metode from Roland Barthes is assosiate meaning and symbol used in film Arisan 2. Studyed how people meanings about problem. In thi research focus to significations of exposure, symbol, message and object under study. Finally research shows that in this film Arisan 2 shows about the director Nia Dinata want to convey the message to general public is homosexuals there are around in the social environment, how the reality lifestyle they and they community, with hustle and bustle jakarta city which demand luxurious and socialita lifestyle and how public to revcieve or not recieve about gays and his life.
