Abstract
ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre) is an institution of disaster response ASEAN, established under ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Relief (AADMER) in 2005. AADMER formation related to the earthquake and tsunami Aceh in 2004, then they held a special meeting of ASEAN leaders to discuss about the impact of the earthquake and tsunami was held in Jakarta in early 2005. The meeting was called by the Tsunami Summit. AHA Centre was began in 2011 and based in Jakarta. In carrying out its duties AHA Centre will collaborate with various sectors such as, NGO, goverment state and others country who will support. This paper discusses about the importance of forming AHA Centre as a disaster coordination center of Southeast Asia. Beside that it talks about the important role that has been done by AHA Centre in dealing and recovery post-disasters. Keywords: ASEAN disaster, humanitarian assistance, AHA Centre
