Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini tentang ciri film thriller yang umum adalah intensitas emosi yang membuat orang-orang yang ketakutan dan kegembiraan, kegembiraan dan sesak napas, semuanya dirancang untuk menghasilkan kesenangan bagi penontonnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis representasi tema thriller horror dalam film Hi5teria. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori semiotika film Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian Film Hi5teria merupakan jenis film thriller horror dengan model omnibus atau penyajian banyak cerita dalam satu film, yaitu 1) Pasar Setan: film yang menceritakan legenda pasar ‘misteri’ di Gunung Lawu, jika seorang pendaki mendapati pasar ini niscaya tidak akan pernah kembali, 2) Wajang Koelit: mengangkat sisi mistis dari pertunjukan wayang yang meminta korban saat menampilkan lakon Dewi Durga, 3) Kotak Musik: menampilkan cerita seseorang yang tidak percaya keberadaan hantu namun keyakinannya itu justru menyeret pada kejadian-kejadian mistis, 4) Palasik: Film yang mengangkat legenda ilmu hitam Palasik dari Sumatra Barat, dan 5) Loket: Film yang menceritakan terror hantu korban dari kejahatan yang dilakukan oleh seorang penjaga loket. Film Hi5teria menyajikan ketegangan demi ketegangan seperti thriller horror pada film-film didalamnya, beberapa diantaranya mengengkat legenda masyarakat tentang hantu. Namun film ini masih ada kekurangan yang perlu diperbaiki yang dapat dijadikan koreksi jika akan membuat film yang sejenis. The background study on common characteristics thriller is the intensity of emotion that makes people fear and excitement, excitement and breathlessness, all designed to produce pleasure for the audience. Film Hi5teria a thriller type horror omnibus model or presentation of many stories in one film: 1) Pasar Setan: movie legends markets 'mystery' in Gunung Lawu, if a climber undoubtedly find this market will never return, 2) Wajang Koelit: lifting the mystical side of the puppet show that asks the victim while displaying the play Goddess Durga; 3) Kotak Music: displays the story of someone who does not believe in the existence of ghosts, but his belief that just dragged on mystical events; 4) Palasik: Film legend who raised sciences black Palasik of West Sumatra: and 5) Loket: the film tells the ghost of terror victims of crimes committed by a guard booth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the representation of the theme in the movie thriller horror Hi5teria. The research method used was a qualitative method to approach the film semiotic theories of Roland Barthes. The research results is Film Hi5teria present tension for tension as the horror thriller movies in it, some people gets the legends about ghosts. But the film is still in need of repair deficiencies that can be corrected if it would make a similar movies.
