Abstract
The water storage in Pakem district is important to study, because it can contribute on the change water storage in lowland of south Sleman regency. The objectives of this research were to find out change of land use and its influence on water storage in Pakem district. This research was by using of survey method and mapping. The data was collected from topography map, land use map and secondary data analyses from 1997 until 2006 years. The result of this research was shown that change of land use during 10 years for rice field equal to 0,71 %, real estate equal to 0,32 %, and farm equal to 0,27 %. Water storage of year calculation 1997 until 2006 were – 5,3%, 23,3%, 33,2%, 14,7%, 14,0%, 1,7%, - 0,3%, 9,9%, -0,1% and 8,8% respectively. Finally water storage during the last 10 years in Pakem district was moderate. Keywords: Land use, water storage.
