Abstract
ABSTRACT This thesis discusses about the sister province cooperation by Yogyakarta Special Region. Yogyakarta Special Region classified as a potential area and active to compose a sister province cooperation. Some sister province cooperation by Yogyakarta does not give results or positive impact on the community and region. Failure of sister province has several major factors, the purpose of this thesis to research what the main factors of failure of sister province cooperation by Yogyakarta Special Region. Research focus of this thesis is the sister province cooperation between the Yogyakarta Special Region, Ismailia, California and Chiang Mai that categorized as a sister province cooperation by Yogyakarta Special Region who have failed.
