Abstract
Forest destruction and hunting animals often occur in Indonesia. This resulted in many animals native to Indonesia that became extinct. Seeing the incident, WWF is concerned. Various conservation efforts to prevent the extinction. But these efforts will not work properly without the generous support from the government and also some of those involved in the conservation. In this study, the theory used is the theory of functional cooperation, when cooperation will be successful if all stakeholders to support each other and have the same goal. In the WWF conservation, the central government and several palm oil companies have different interests. WWF has to preserve the interests of animals, while the government and palm oil companies have a vested interest in terms of financial profit. This condition makes cooperation by WWF less successful.
