Abstract
ABSTRAK Dalam keluarga yang sesungguhnya, komunikasi merupakan sesuatu yang harus dibina, sehingga anggota keluarga merasakan ikatan yang dalam serta saling membutuhkan. Sebagai kelompok sosial yang pertama, berbagai macam pengetahuan mengenai adat, moral, nilai-nilai serta norma dan kebudayaan diajarkan oleh keluarga. Hal ini harus ditanamkan dalam diri anak sejak dini agar anak dapat tumbuh seiring dengan apa yang menjadi keinginan orangtua serta memiliki karakter tersendiri yang tentunya akan berguna di masa mendatang. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta karena pada tiga tahun terakhir, sekolah tersebut mampu meluluskan siswanya 100% serta sekolah tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sekolah favorit dengan keunggulan sekolah berbasis ICT (Information Communication Technology). Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga terhadap tingkat prestasi belajar siswa dan seberapa besar pengaruhnya. Hal ini dikarenakan mengingat bahwa pendidikan karakter merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kuantitatif dengan tipe deskriptif. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah variabel dependen yaitu komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga, variabel indenpenden yaitu tingkat prestasi belajar siswa. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Firo (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientations) atau Teori Kebutuhan Antarpribadi dan Teori S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Response). Hasil penelitian dari hasil regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa variabel komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tingkat prestasi belajar siswa sebesar 34,1%. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi intensitas komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga, maka tingkat prestasi belajar siswa pun juga akan ikut semakin meningkat. Kata kunci: komunikasi pendidikan, komunikasi dengan orangtua, prestasi belajar, siswa SMA. This is because given that character education is an important thing to do. The research method is quantitative descriptive type. The variable in this study is the dependent variable is interpersonal communication within the family, which is the level of independently variable student achievement. The theory used in this study is Firo Theory (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientations) or Interpersonal Needs Theory and S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Response) Theory. The results of the study of the results of the simple linear regression showed that the variables of interpersonal communication in the family has a significant impact on student achievement levels by 34.1 %. This means that the higher the intensity of interpersonal communication in the family, then any level of student achievement will also increase.
