Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di PT. Aries Iron Mining Desa Tumbang Tilap,
Kecamatan Mentaya Hulu, Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur, Propinsi Kalimantan
Timur.
Penelitian ini menggunakan dua metode yaitu metode geomagnet dan
geolistrik. Data penelitian geomagnet diolah menggunakan program surfer, hasil dari
program surfer digunakan untuk menentukan pengambilan geolistrik. Metode
geolistrik dapat memberikan gambaran bawah permukaan tanah secara umum
tanpa penggalian adalah metode geofisika dengan menggunakan Metode Geoscan
(Resistivity 2D dan Induced Polarization). Penyelidikan geolistrik IP ini
menggunakan konfigurasi dipole-dipole, dan hanya dibatasi pada penentuan
variasi tahanan jenis bawah permukaan tanah dan chargeability secara vertikal
maupun horizontal
Pengambilan data pada kegiatan ekplorasi ini menggunakan alat ARES
(Automatic Resistivity). Data hasil pengukuran diolah dengan Program
RES2DINV. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan meng-input data kedalam untuk
kemudian mendapatkan permodelan dalam bentuk resistivity dan chargeability
dari penampang lintasan geolistrik. Selanjutnya dilakukan interpretasi model dan
nilai tahanan jenis tiap batuan pada penampang tersebut. Nilai dari chargeability
mineral sulfida adalah 9,89-1000 msec yang berwarna hijau sampai ungu dengan
nilai resistivity 0,1-10.000 Ohm.m yang berwarna biru tua sampai biru muda.
Setelah dilakukan pengambilan, pengolahan dan interpretasi data maka lintasan
yang dianggap potensi untuk diteliti lebih lanjut dengan pengeboran (coring)
adalah Line 01 titik 12 - 33, Line 2 titik 17 - 29, Line 3 titik 30 - 40, Line 13
titik 12 - 27. Estimasi sumber daya mineral sulfida yang dihitung dengan cara
interpretasi daerah pengaruh pedoman titik terdekat (rule of nearest point)
menghasilkan 1.055.000 m³ atau 2.215.500 ton
The study was conducted at PT. Aries Iron Mining Tumbang Tilap, District
Mentaya Hulu, Kotawaringin Timur, East Kalimantan province.
Exploration of the geomagnetic method parameter used to study susceptibility
of these methods and geoelectric parameters used to study iron ore with this method
is conductive and resistive properties.Geomagnetic data is processed using surfer
program, the results of the program are used to determine the retrieval surfer
geoelectric. Geoelectric method can provide a snapshot below the soil surface is
generally without excavation geophysical methods using methods Geoscan (2D
Resistivity and Induced Polarization). IP geoelectric investigation using dipole-dipole
configuration, and is limited to the determination of the variation of the subsurface
resistivity and chargeability vertically or horizontally
Collecting data on exploration activities using the ARES tool (Automatic
Resistivity). Measurement data is processed by the Program RES2DINV. Data
processing is done by inputting the data into the program and then get modeling in
the form of resistivity and chargeability in the form of a cross section geoelectric
trajectory. Furthermore, the interpretation of the model and resistivity value of every
rock in that section, where the value of chargeability of sulphide minerals is from
9.89 to 1000 msec green to purple with resistivity values from 0.1 to 10,000 Ohm.m

the path is considered to be the potential to be further investigated by drilling (coring)
