Abstract
ABSTRAK
Manusia adalah makhluk sosial di mana setiap individunya saling memerlukan
satu sama lain. Dalam menjalin hubungan sosial tersebut dibutuhkan komunikasi baik
verbal maupun nonverbal. Komunitas Jomblo Katholik regio Yogyakarta merupakan
komunitas yang memfasilitasi para anggotanya untuk bertemu, berkenalan, dan mencari
pasangan hidup seiman. Dalam perjalanannya KJK mengalami penurunan intensitas
kegiatan organisasi. Penelitian ini didasari atas berkurangnya intensitas kegiatan
organisasi Komunitas Jomblo Katholik regio Yogyakarta. Adapun tujuan dalam
penelitian ini untuk mengetahui iklim komunikasi organisasi yang terjadi antar pengurus
Komunitas Jomblo Katholik Regio Yogyakarta.
Teori yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah teori klasik birokrasi Max Webber.
Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan
dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan
data berupa perspektif atau pandangan dari para pengurus, ketua dan anggota KJK regio
Yogyakarta. Observasi dipakai untuk mengamati kegiatan KJK regio Yogyakarta.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap iklim komunikasi organisasi di Komunitas
Jomblo Katholik regio Yogyakarta, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa iklim
komunikasi yang terbentuk di Komunitas Jomblo Katholik regio yogyakarta cenderung
negatif. Iklim komunikasi yang terbentuk cenderung negatif dikarenakan faktor-faktor
eksternal dan internal. Faktor eksternalnya antara lain: jarak tempuh untuk sampai ke
lokasi kegiatan, kesibukan masing masing individu, alat transportasi. Faktor internalnya
antara lain: ketidakkonsistenan dalam penyusunan jadwal kegiatan, kurang bisa
mengkoordinir anggota, kesalahan informasi, keterlambatan dalam penyampaian
informasi kegiatan kepada anggota, terjadinya pengelompokan pergaulan di setiap
kegiatan.

ABSTRACT
Humans are social in which every single one of them needs each
other. In this case, they need to communicate both verbally and non
verbally. KJK (Komunitas Jomblo Katholik) Yogyakarta is a community
which facilitates its member to meet, know each other and look for spouse
who has the same faith (Catholic). As time goes by, KJK experiences the
frequency of its activities decreased. This research is inspired from the
decreased number of activities in KJK. The purpose of this research is to
describe the communication climate within the community.
This is a descriptive qualitative research study. The data were
collected through observations and interviews. The interviews were
employed to gather the data on the participants’ perspectives, while the
observations were employed to observe the activities in KJK.
The findings show that the communication climate in KJK
Yogyakarta tends to be negative. There are several factors which cause it.
They are internal and external factors. The external factors are the length
of the distance to the activity location from the members’ house, each
individual business, and the means of transportation which are not
available to all of the members. The internal factors are the inconsistency
in determining the schedule for every activity, the inability to manage the
members, the delay of information, and the grouping in the socialization
among members.
