Abstract

INTISARI PT. Antam Tbk UBPE Pongkor memiliki pengolahan air limbah yaitu Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) Tambang. Limbah di IPAL Tambang berupa slurry yang berasal dari kegiatan backfilling dan penambangan. Di dalam pengolahan (water treatment) ditambahkan koagulan jenis Poly Alumunium Chloride (PAC) dan flokulan jenis Anionic Floculant untuk menurunkan tingkat total suspended solids. Air yang telah berkurang kekeruhannya dan dibawah baku mutu, di recycle ke pabrik pengolahan sebagai fresh water untuk kebutuhan air didalam pabrik dan air backfilling serta pengeboran didalam tambang dan sebagian dibuang ke Sungai Cimanganten. Adanya masalah standar pemakaian dosis flokulan dan koagulan yang berbeda tiap shift, perlu ada acuan dalam pemakain bahan penggumpal agar mengoptimalkan kondisi operasional dengan penentuan penambahan bahan penggumpal yang paling ideal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dosis optimum penggunaan koagulan dan flokulan dalam penurunan TSS, untuk menganalisa parameter TSS, pH dan CN di outlet IPAL Tambang sudah memenuhi baku mutu Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup no. 202 tahun 2004 atau belum, dan untuk mengetahui efisiensi pengolahan yang sudah dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan survey, pengambilan sampel, analisis laboratorium dan metode jartest. Parameter-parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pH,TSS dan CN -(data primer) serta logam-logam lain (data sekunder) sesuai Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup no. 202 tahun 2004 tentang usaha atau kegiatan pertambangan bijih emas dan atau tembaga. Hasil yang diperoleh di outlet IPAL Tambang sudah memenuhi baku mutu untuk nilai pH yaitu 7,7 TSS yaitu 19,1 mg/l dan untuk CN yaitu 0,016 ppm. Dosis optimum yang didapat adalah koagulan 2,5kg/shift dan flokulan 3kg/shift dengan kecepatan pengadukan dalam koagulasi yaitu 200 rpm, lama pengadukan 4 menit dan untuk flokulasi kecepatan pengadukan 10 rpm, lama pengadukan 15 menit dengan nilai TSS 15mg/l. Nilai pH hasil efisiensi yang tertinggi yaitu 96,9 % di pH 7, dan persen solid dengan TSS yang lebih baik di persen solid 5 %. Kata kunci : Coagulant, Floculant, jartest dan IPAL Tambang ABSTRACT PT. Antam Tbk UBPE Pongkor has the wastewater treatment which called as Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Mine. The waste at IPAL Mine consists of slurry wastewater which came from the backfilling and mining activities. In the treatment (water treatment) was added the coagulant with Poly Alumunium Chloride (PAC) types and the floculant with Anionic Floculant types to reduce total suspended solids level. The water that has been reduced its turbidity and under the quality standard was recycled into the treatment factory as the fresh water for the water needed in the factory and backfilling water and so did the drilling in the mine and half of them discarded into the Cimanganten River. Because of the standard problems flocculant and coagulant dosage were different for each shift, there needs a reference in the usage of coagulant for optimizing the operational condition with the most ideal. The purpose of this research is to determine the optimum dosage usage of coagulant and flocculant in TSS reduction, to analyze the TSS parameter, pH and CNat IPAL Mine outlet has according to the quality standards of Environment Decree no. 202 year 2004 or not, and to determine the efficiency of the processing that has been done. The method of this research were surveys, sampling, and laboratory analysis and jartest method. The parameters of this research were pH, TSS, CN-(primary data) and the other metals (secondary data) according to Minister of Environment Decree no. 202 year 2004 about the business or gold ore mining or copper. The results of this research are in the IPAL Mine oulet has according to the quality standards for pH value is 7.7 TSS with 19.1 mg / l and for CN- is 0,016 ppm. The result of optimum dosage of coagulant is 2.5 kg / shift and flocculant 3kg/shift with stirring speed of 200 rpm in the coagulation, stirring time is 4 minutes and flocculation mixing speed to 10 rpm, stirring time is 15 min. pH value of the highest efficiency results of 96.9% at pH 7, and the percent of solid with the better TSS percent solid at 5%.
