Abstract

ABSTRACT The presence of United States in the Senkaku Islands due to security interests and position of the United States as a country that has the hegemony of power with the role of maintained stability of security. There are no problems that means regarding the Senkaku Islands at the time of World War I until the end of World War II. An important focus of the United States are involved in this dispute is the rise of China's economy and military that can threaten the interests of the United States around the world. This was originally the Senkaku Islands belong to China before the Chinese defeat Japan in 1985, but China never admitted ownership of the Islands of Japan. The seizure of the Islands is very important because China and Japan were the second and third countries the big consumption of oil after the United States. Beginning in 2012, the new zone set by China, where planes must abide by his commandments or risk facing a defense Emergency Act did not mention China. The zone is one of the efforts to change unilaterally the status of ownership of the Senkaku Islands. United States has two interests in the South China Sea that is of interest, conveniently located to position themselves facing threats in the AsiaPacific region and economic importance, due to the geographical position of the South China Sea linking the Indian Ocean that has a high economic value.
