Abstract
ABSTRACT Spratly Islands is a region located in the South China Sea. Spratlys is a sea area that is very profitable. The potential of natural resources and strategic areas as international trade sea lanes will greatly benefit the country by force. Vietnam and China is a country that is often at odds on this. Vietnam and China both expressed mutual claims over the Spratly region based on historical evidence and use of the area. If you look at the strength of Vietnam, it will not be comparable with China. Itlah why diplomacy is necessary to build Vietnam, be it bilateral or multilateral, to strengthen the Vietnamese claims in the Spratly Islands. Key words: Vietnames claims, Spratly Islands, bilateral diplomacy, multilateral diplomacy.
