Abstract

ABSTRACT PT. Kaltim Prima Coal is one of mining companies move in coal mining. PT. Kaltim Prima Coal located in Sangata District, Kutai Timur Regency, East Borneo. PT. Kaltim Prima Coal is used Mining Surface System. The removal overburden activity used combination of diging and hauling equipment (Hitachi EX 3600B and Dumptruck Caterpillar 789B) to disposal area with distance 2465 meters. Production targets are 2.000 BCM/hour. Actual production by diging and loading equipment are 1.501,62 BCM/hour besides production by hauling equipment are 1.597,63 BCM/hour. Out of target production caused by decrease of effective working time and then it can influanced working efficient. Effors to increase production targets used several ways. First make improvement with working time, so it can makes working effeciency increase. The of increase production from this ways for digging-loading equipment are 1572,13 BCM/hour for digging-loading equipment and for hauling equipment are 1783,60 BCM/hour. Second way make improvement in cycle time of digging-loading equipment and hauling equipment. The increase production from this ways are 1978,07 BCM/hour for digging-loading equipment and 1839,92BCM/hour for hauling equipment. The last way used combination of working efficiency and cycle time that have been repaired. The result is increase production from this ways are 2050,60 BCM/hour for digging-loading equipment and for hauling equipment are 2003,57 BCM/hour for hauling equipment.
