Abstract

HAFIDZ MUKHSIN, Assessment of Land Use to Soil Physical Properties and Soil Erodibility in Mangli Village, Kaliangkrik Subdistrict, Magelang Regency. Supervised by AZ . Purnomo Budi Santosa and Didi Saidi: Mangli village has a slope which is high because of the slope reaches 100-450 and has a height of 1200-1700 meters above sea level ( masl ). This area has some land use and different processing . This research aims to Assess land use to soil physical properties and erodibility in Mangli Village, Kaliangkrik Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, Central Java. This research was conducted in May-July 2013. The research location is in Mangli, Kaliangkrik , Magelang. The methode used is survey method, purposive method and analysis method. Sampling was based on the differences existing land use in this area, tahat is shrub land ( L0 ), vegetables crops ( L1 ) and tobacco crops ( L2 ). The parameters used are BV, BJ, porosity, texture, structure, water content, pores distribution, permeability, BO, erodibility and NPD. The results showed the soil texture class in L0 and L2 land is sandy loam , while L1 is loamy sand, BV and BJ on L0 land area smaller than L1 and L2, and have same porosity class, that is porous, permeability L0 land and L1 are medium to slowly while L2 land is medium, soil moisture characteristics in L0 showed better water holding capacity than other land , soil pore distribution at fast and slow drainage pore in L0 land greater than L1 and L2 land, but the pore water available in L0 land smaller than L1 and L2 land, structures on land L0, L1 and L2 are the granular medium and coarse , organic materials at L0 land is high while L1 and L2 land is medium, the erodibility class in L0 , L1 and L2 land are rather high while the NPD class on all land is susceptible to erosion .
