Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul "Analisis Semiotika Pesan Kritik Sosial Dalam Karya Street Art Poster ANTI-TANK". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna tanda pesan apa yang terkandung dalam karya street art dalam karya poster ANTI-TANK serta memperoleh penjelasan apa yang mewakili pesan-pesan karya street art dalam karya poster ANTI-TANK. Setiap orang berhak untuk beropini atau berbicara sesuatu kebenaran tentang suatu permasalahan yang terjadi, yang bisa berkaitan dengan kelompok, perorangan, atau bahkan pemerintah. Karena beropini adalah hak asasi manusia yang di lindungi Undang-Undang. Berbagai macam cara untuk mengeluarkan opini salah satunya adalah seni dan ANTI-TANK menggunakan seni jalanan atau street art sebagai cara berbicara dengan cara menggunakan poster yang ditempel di jalan-jalan untuk mengkritisi keadaan sosial seperti kekayaan alam Indonesia yang banyak namun dinikmati sebagian pihak, penolakan terhadap sosok yang dinggap diktator di masa kemimpinannya, kritik terhadap pembangunan hotel yang semakin banyak di Yogyakarta, dan meningkatnya polusi udara. Penelitian menggunakan kajian semiotika dari Roland Barthes, peneliti mencoba menguraikan makna kritik sosial gambar poster, street art, dari karya Andrew ANTI-TANK melalui 2 tingkatan yaitu denotatif dan konotatif. Peneliti juga menggunakan 3 formula dari 9 formula pengembangan keabsahan data dari Andrik Purwasito untuk menguatkan proses dalam pemaknaan yaitu siapa komunikator, motivasi komunikator, dan intersubjektif. Street art menjadi cara beropini yang ringan dan menghibur atau cara berekspresi terhadap keadaan yang ada namun tetap memiliki pesan yang kuat seperti karya-karya dari ANTI-TANK. 4 poster peneliti teliti memiliki makna tentang 1. Kemerdekaan yang sebenarnya masih belum dirasakan semua masyarakat Indonesia, 2.Sebuah penolakan dengan sosok Soeharto yang dikenal begitu banyak kasus kejahatan yang menjeratnya pada masa kemimpinannya, 3. Kritik terhadap pembangunan hotel yang semakin banyak di Yogyakarta, 4.Polusi udara yang semakin meningkat. Garis besar dari 4 poster yang diteliti adalah kurang berpihaknya kebijakan pemerintah terhadap masyarakat. Kata kunci: Kritik sosial, Semiotika, poster, street art,ANTI-TANK ABSTRACT This study entitled "Analysis of Social Criticism Semiotics Book In Works Street Art Poster ANTI-TANK".
