Abstract
Man with all the diverse activities spawned changes in the way humans communicate to others . The communications changes not only in the media used , but on the content of the communication is made . The need for effective communication short and spawned a new term called micro-blogging . Increased microblog users also spurred by the birth of social media micro-blogging website , one that is widely used today is tumblr . This is also indicated by the increasing tumblr users . But the web itself is still less efficient tumblr , where smart phone users more and more. Tumblr client application development is done by applying a Rapid Application Guidelines for Engineering ( GRAPPLE ) . In the development of client applications supported by the availability tumblr tumblr API ( Application Programming Interface ) as the communication features to build the client with the properties of the microblog so it can add the services available on the web tumblr as well as the Eclipse Java IDE , and Android phones as a support tool . Based on the analysis , design and implementation can be concluded that it has successfully created a Tumblr Microblog Social Network Applications Based Android Client . In this application the user can perform multimedia functions , namely image posts , video posts , and audio post and can also do like , unlike , follow , unfollow , delete posts , and search . Keywords : Android , tumblr , GRAPPLE , API Manusia dengan segala kegiatannya yang beragam melahirkan perubahan cara berkomunikasi kepada manusia lain. Perubahan komunikasi tersebut bukan hanya terjadi pada media yang digunakan, tetapi pada isi dari komunikasi yang dibuat. Kebutuhan akan komunikasi singkat dan efektif melahirkan suatu istilah baru yang dinamakan mikroblog. Peningkatan pengguna mikroblog juga dipacu dengan lahirnya website media sosial mikroblog, salah satu yang banyak digunakan saat ini adalah tumblr. Hal ini juga ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya pengguna tumblr. Namun web tumblr sendiri masih kurang effisien, dimana pengguna ponsel pintar semakin bertambah banyak. Pembangunan aplikasi tumblr client dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode Guidelines for Rapid APPlication Engineering (GRAPPLE). Dalam pembangunan aplikasi tumblr client didukung dengan tersedianya API tumblr (Application Programming Interface) sebagai fitur komunikasi untuk membangun client dengan sifat-sifat mikroblog tersebut sehingga dapat menambahkan layanan yang tersedia di web tumblr serta Eclipse Java sebagai IDE, dan ponsel Android sebagai alat pendukung. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, perancangan dan implementasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah berhasil dibuat Aplikasi Jejaring Sosial Mikroblog Tumblr Client Berbasis Android. Pada aplikasi ini pengguna dapat melakukan fungsi multimedia yaitu image post, video post, dan audio post serta dapat juga melakukan like, unlike, follow, unfollow, delete post, dan search.
