Abstract

PT. Bukit Baiduri Energy is a company which moved in coal mining business located in Pinang, Samarinda Ulu District, Municipality Samarinda, East Kalimantan Province. Overburden stripping activities conducted by PT. Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama. In the normal stripping overburden using a series of work unloading equipment and transport equipment, to move the material from the loading site to the landfill. Loading tool used for digging and loading material into a bath of dump trucks. dump trucks and then transported and stockpiled material at the landfill. Equipment are used is backhoe fit Komatsu PC 1250 2 units that having a capacity of 7.5 m3 bucket and a conveyance whiches used dump truck Komatsu HD 465 6 units with a heaped capacity 34.2 m3. Production stripping overburden target defined by PT.Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama is about 522,273.42 bcm / month. The Problems that occur this time is the production of unloading equipment and transportation is not optimal yet, so the production that set on target was not yet reaches. The Real Overburden after doing count in theoretical Production is 489.983,62 bcm/month at this time. Production targets is not achieved due to the width of the street on the corner segmented 3 are not yet qualified, and the lost work time due of work barriers, wich barriers can be avoided or unavoided. With the existance of these barriers will reduce the efective working time so that causing effesien work being low. Efforts are being made to increase production using the three stages, namely repair of roads in the segmented curve 3, the increase work efficiency, improvement of roads in the corner and increase work efficiency. From the results of road improvements on segments 3, when the original cycle time 7.8 minutes to 7.37 minutes in front 1, and 6.6 minutes to 5.9 minutes in front so that production becomes 536,193,9 bcm / month. Increased work efficiency and unloading equipment from 76.80% to 83.33% in the first front, the front 2 from 76.50% to 82.61%, 75.71% of the conveyance to 82.19% in the front one, and on the front 2 of 75.28% to 80.47%. For theoretical calculation the production value is taken the lowest efiensi of efiensi value from front 2 so that production becomes 525.899,63 bcm/month. Road improvements on segments 3 and increased efficiency of production of mechanical work to be be 573.165,11 bcm / month. Overburden production target of 522,273.42 bcm / month that have been determined by the PT. Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama as the main contractor has been reached
