Abstract

RINGKASAN Salah satu kegiatan pembongkaran di PT. BUMA (PT. ABSTRACT One of loosening activity in PT. BUMA (PT. Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama) Job Site Senakin is removing the overburden. This activity preceded by loosening process using drilling and blasting methods. One of the effect of blasting activity toward the environment is ground vibration. The blasting activity which is carried out in Pit 1 E produce ground vibration which is give negative effects toward environment if it does not well controlled. PT. BUMA has been drow up the maximum limit of PPV (Peak Particle Velocity) by SNI 7571 at 2010 that is 2 mm/s. After the measuring process, it is founded that there are several conditions where the ground vibration above limit level 2 mm/s. The PPV of those conditions reached 2,14 mm/s up to 5,42 mm/s. In this time, the researcher has analyzed and founded the independent variables that influence ground vibration to above the maximum limit in Pit 1 E, that are the distance between measuring and blasting locations, blasting agent weight for per delay, the available free face on the blasting location and blasting geometry. After comparing the approaches among the calculation of PPV theoritical prediction based on Giorgio Berta’s method, multiple linear regression equation method and USBM (United States Bureau of Mines) method, can be concluded that the most aprropriate method to predict the maximum blasting agen weight for per delay on the certain distance in order to the ground vibration does not above the maximum limit, is USBM method. The calculation of removing constanta use the approach of USBM method which resulted K value 1144,67. With this result, the blasting agent weight for per delay on the certain distance can be drown up in the buffer zone 525 m, that is 54 kg for per delay
