Abstract
Perusahaan PT. Supra Bara Energi yang masih dalam tahap eksplorasi memerlukan Penaksiran Sumberdaya untuk perencanaan penambangan batubara di Kecamatan Sambaliung, Kabupaten Berau Propinsi Kalimantan Timur. Data eksplorasi yang ada berupa data bor. Data yang didapatkan, dianalisa agar dapat memberikan suatu gambaran endapan batubara dan jumlah tonnase batubara di daerah penelitian tersebut. Metode penelitian yang akan diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penaksiran sumberdaya menggunakan metode cross section rule of gradual change .Tujuannya untuk mengetahui berapa besar cadangan batubara terbukti. Batubara yang diteliti yaitu memiliki struktur lebih dari satu lapisan batubara (multi seam)dengan kemiringan 420. Pedoman perubahan bertahap (rule of gradual change) dilakukan dengan menghubungkan penampang satu dengan penampang lainnya, sehingga setiap perhitungan volume dibatasi oleh dua penampang dan diperoleh cadangan seluruhnya sebesar 2.392.390 ton. Besarnya tanah penutup (over burden) dengan pedoman perubahan bertahap (rule of gradual change) sebesar 30.696.750 BCM. PT Supra Bara Energi wich still in exploration stage need resource estimation for mine planning in Sambaliung district, Berau state, province of East Kalimantan. Collected exploration is from drilling data. Collected data is analized to make image of coal sedimentation and ammount of coal tonage in the observation location. Observation method wich used in this research is resource estimation based on cross section with rule of gradual change. The purpose is to understand how much the reserve is proven. The structure ofcoal wich observed is having more than one seam with dip angle is 42˚. Rule of gradual change is by conected the one section to other section, so every volume count is limited by two section and the result of total reserve is 2.392.390 tons. The ammount of over burden wih rule of gradual change is 30.696.750BCM
