Abstract
The research objectives are: (1) Analyze the social economic status factors which include age,
education, women's responsibilities in the family, income and experience to the role of women in
the development of tourism village. (2) identify efforts for development of tourism village
Kembang Arum, Donokerto, Turi, Sleman.
Method this study uses descriptive methods. Retrieval of data using primary data and secondary
data, primary data collection is done by direct interview to the respondents, the secondary data
obtained by citing the existing data from the relevant agencies. Sampling methods using tourism
village manager census method. Number of samples taken 45 samples. Retrieval of data using a
questionnaire. The analysis technique that used is to use Regression Analysis.
The results showed that education, the responsibility of women in the family, income and
experience affect the role of women in the development of tourism village Kembang Arum.
Efforts were made to the development of tourism village is the promotion, structuring a place or
region, the organization (management), improvement of product quality and physical
development or infrastructure.
