Abstract
Kegiatan  penambangan  batubara  menghasilkan  limbah  air  asam  tambang, menyebabkan  pencemaran  air  permukaan  maupun  air  tanah.  Kandungan  logam 
berat  besi  (Fe)  dan   Mangan  (Mn)  yang  terkandung  pada  air  hasil  kegiatan penambangan merupakan penyebab utama pada penurunan  kualitas air.  Penelitian 
ini bertujuan untuk menghitung efisiensi pengolahan air asam tambang (AAT) dan membuat  desain  sistem  lahan  basah  buatan  meggunakan  tanaman  purun  tikus 
(Eleocharis  dulci)  untuk  pengolahan  air  asam  tambang  di  Timbunan  Pit 1  Timur PT. Bukit Asam Unit Banko Barat.
Penelitian  ini  termasuk  penelitian  deskriptif  analitik  dengan  metode kuantitatif.  Metode  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini  adalah  metode  survei,
metode  eksperimen,metode  uji  laboratorium  dan  metode  matematis.  Penulis pertama  –  tama  membuat  4  buah  reaktor  sistem  lahan  basah  buatan  dengan  diisi 
masing  –  masing  14,  8,  5,  rumpun  purun  tikus  dan  tanpa  purun  tikus.  Lalu dilakukan proses aklimatisasi terhadap tanaman purun tikus selama 7 hari. Sampel 
AAT  yang  belum  mengalami  proses  pengapuran  diambil  untuk  dilakukan pengolahan menggunakan  sistem lahan basah buatan dengan interval waktu tinggal 
hari ke 1, 3, 5, 7 dan tahap akhir melakukan uji laboratorium terhadap kandungan 
Fe  dan  Mn.  Efisiensi  pengolahan  dihitung  berdasarkan  konsentrasi  Fe  dan  Mn sebelum dan sesudah uji coba.
Hasil penelitian  efisiensi penurunan  logam  berat    Fe dan Mn  dengan sistem lahan  basah  buatan    terjadi  pada  Constructed  Wetland  (CW4)  dengan  5  rumpun 
purun  tikus.  Efisiensi    Fe  sebesar  59,58%  dan  Mn  43,75  %.  Berdasarkan  hasil efisiensi  dan pengukuran debit air limpasan, curah hujan  dan karakteristik AAT di 
lapangan dapat di rancang  desain lahan basah buatan  dengan  waktu tinggal efektif selama  3  hari  dan  kemiringan   reaktor  1%.  Reaktor  ini  di  bagi  menjadi  4  buah raktor  dengan dimensi    masing  –  masing  reaktor  35,68 m x 5,3 m x 0,35 m dan jarak  tanam  pada  masing  –  masing  reaktor  10  x  10  cm.  Media  yang  digunakan berupa  tanah  podsolik  dicampur  pupuk  bokasi  1:1  setinggi  20  cm,  pasir  gravel 
dengan tebal 5 cm kerikil sedang 5 cm dan tanaman purun tikus  sebanyak 4.717 rumpun untuk 3 reaktor dan 1 reaktor sebagai kolam pengontrol.

Coal mining  activities  produce  acid mine waste water  that  causes  pollution of  surface  and  ground  water.  Heavy  metal  content  of  iron  (Fe)  and  Manganese 
(Mn)  that  are  contained  in  the  water  mining  activities  is  a  major  cause  on  the 
decline of water quality.  This study aims to calculate the efficiency of  acid mine waste  water  treatment  and  create  wetlands  system  using  Purun  Mice  (Eleocharis 
dulci)  for acid mine waste water treatment in  heaps of East Pit 1 PT. Bukit Asam West Bangko Unit.
This research was descriptive analytic quantitative methods.  Methods  used in this research  are  survey method, experimental methods, methods of laboratory 
testing  and  mathematical  methods.  Writer  first  to  make  the  4  systems  wetland artificially reactor, filled each for 14, 8, 5 clumps mice purun and without it. While 
the sample not yet subjected to acidic process taken to do the wetlands artificially processing  with  intervals  of  time  live  day  to  1,  3,  5,  7  and  the  final  stage  test againts Fe and Mn laboratory content. The processing efficiency is calculated based 
on the concentrations of Fe and Mn before and after the trial. The results of the study of heavy metal removal efficiency of  Fe  and Mn with  artificial  wetlands  system  occurs  in  Constructed  Wetland  (CW4)  with  5 
clumps of rushes mice. The efficiency of 59.58% Fe and 43.75% Mn. Based on the results of measurements of water discharge efficiency and runoff, rainfall and the 
characteristics of AAT in the field can be designed artificial wetlands designs  with 
live effective time for 3 days and  reactor with a slope of 1%. The reactor is divided into 4 pieces of the reactor with the dimensions of each  - each reactor 35.68 mx 5.3 
mx 0.35 m and a spacing on each  -  each reactor 10 x 10 cm.  M edia used in the form of land podsolic mixed fertilizers bokasi 1: 1 as high as 20 cm, sand gravel 
with 5 cm thick gravel was 5 cm and plant as many as 4,717 clump purun rats for 3 
reactor and the first reactor as a pool controller.
