Abstract

Daerah “ARGA” merupakan suatu lapangan yang terletak di Cekungan Jawa Timur Utara, merupakan sebuah daerah operasional milik PT. Pertamina EP. Wilayah ini terletak pada empat daerah administratif, yaitu: Purwodadi, Cepu, Tuban, dan Ngimbang. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui karakteristik geokimia Formasi Tuban dan Formasi Kujung berdasarkan analisis geokimia yang meliputi
kuantitas, kualitas, kematangan dan asal material organik, dan mengkorelasikan batuan induk dengan minyak bumi.
Berdasarkan korelasi dari data sumur daerah “ARGA” tersusun oleh 10 satuan, dari tua ke muda yaitu: Batuan Dasar, Satuan Batupasir Ngimbang, Satuan Batulempung Ngimbang, Satuan Batugamping Ngimbang, Satuan Serpih Ngimbang,
Satuan Batulempung Kujung, Satuan Batugamping Kujung, Satuan Batulempung Tuban, Satuan Batulempung Ngrayong, dan Satuan Batupasir Ngrayong. Hasil analisis data geokimia Satuan Batulempung Tuban, Satuan Batugamping
kujung, dan Satuan Batulempung Kujung memiliki kuantitas material organik burukbaik. Tipe material organik pada
ketiga satuan masuk kedalam tipe kerogen III-II yang
cenderung mengenerasi minyak dan gas. Berdasarkan analisis kematangan material organik menggunakan pantulan vitrinit, dapat ditentukan bahwa Satuan Batugamping
Kujung berada dalam tingkat belum matang, serta Satuan Batulempung Tuban dan Satuan Batulempung Kujung berada dalam tingkat belum matang, beberapa diantaranya masuk kedalam matang awal. Analisa biomarker pada conto ekstrak batuan (bitumen) Satuan Batulempung
Tuban Sumur BPR-1, Satuan Batugamping Kujung Sumur BPR-1, Satuan Serpih Ngimbang Sumur PKU-1, dan conto minyak bumi Satuan Batupasir Ngrayong Sumur
KTP-1 menunjukkan bahwa material organiknya berasal dari tumbuhan tinggi yang diendapkan pada lingkungan estuarin atau lakustrin tepi dengan tingkat oksidasi
anoksik-suboksik. Conto bitumen Sumur BPR-1 berada dalam tahap matang awal dan conto minyak bumi KTP-1 berada dalam tahap puncak kematangan. Conto batuan induk Satuan Batugamping Kujung dengan minyak bumi Satuan
Batupasir Ngrayong terkorelasi buruk, sedangkan conto batuan induk Satuan Batulempung Tuban dan Satuan Serpih Ngimbang dengan minyak bumi Satuan Batupasir Ngrayong terkorelasi sedang.

Kata Kunci: Batuan induk, koreleasi, bitumen, biomarker, dan rock-eval pyrolysis.

"ARGA" area is a field that located in North East Java Basin that is an operational area of PT. Pertamina EP. The area is located in four administrative
regions: Purwodadi, Cepu, Tuban, and Ngimbang. This study intends to determine geochemical characteristics of Tuban Formation and Kujung Formation based on
geochemical analysis include the quantity, quality, maturity and origin of organic matter, and correleting oil sample with source rock. Based on the correlation of the wells data, "ARGA" area composed by 10 rock
units, in order from older to younger composed: Basement, Ngimbang Sandstone Unit, Ngimbang Claystone Unit, Ngimbang Limestone Unit, Ngimbang Shale Unit, Kujung
Claystone Unit, Kujung Limestone Unit, Tuban Claystone Unit, Ngrayong Claystone Unit, and Ngrayong Sandstone Unit.
Geochemical data analysis results shows that Tuban Claystone Unit, Kujung Limestone Unit, and Kujung Claystone Unit have poor-good quantity of organic
matter. The organic matter of these units are classified to III-II kerogen types that generated oil and gas. The maturity of organic matter analysis using vitrinite reflection, it can be determined that the organic matter of Kujung Limestone Unit are in immature
stage, Tuban Claystone Unit and Kujung Claystone Unit are in immature stage, but some of them in early mature stage.
Biomarker analysis in bitumen samples of Tuban Claystone Unit in Well BPR1,Kujung Limestone Unit in Well BPR-1,
Ngimbang Shale Unit in Well PKU-1, and oil sampleof
Ngrayong Sandstone Unit in Well KTP-1 shows that the
organic matter derived from higher plant that deposited on estuarine or shallow lacustrine environment with suboxic-anoxic oxidation level. Samples of bitumen in Well BPR-1
in the early mature stage and oil sample of Ngrayong Sandstone Unit in Well KTP-1 are in the peak stage of maturity. Source rock samples of Kujung Limestone Unit with oil sample of Ngrayong Sandstone Unit are poorly correlated, while source rock samples of Tuban Claystone
Unit and Ngimbang Shale Unit with oil sample of Ngrayong Sandstone Unit Moderately Correlated.
