Abstract

The Analysis of the Fisheries Subsector Contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product and Employment Opportunity in Sleman regency, supervised by Juarini and Daru Retnowati. This research aims to Knowing the fisheries sub-sector contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product Sleman regency and fisheries sub-sector role in Sleman regency of compared with Yogyakarta province. And Knowing the fisheries sub-sector's role in supporting employment in Sleman. The method use descriptive method. Method location selection with purposive method. Sources of data derive from secondary data time series as long as the year 2008 – 2013, from literature, Badan Pusat Statistika, and servicefisheries and marine in Sleman Regency. The analysis technique use contribution analysis, least square method or trend analysis and employment absorption elasticity. The result of this study show that the fisheries sub-sector contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product Sleman regency is not significant. The fisheries sub-sector contribution not significant because be based on least square method or trend analysis a significant value more than big alpha. The analyze of employment absorption elasticity that the role of fisheries sub-sector to employment absorption is small, beecause a value of Eptk < 1.
