DEVELOPMENT OF THE “MNJ” FIELD SAND-14

The "MNJ" Sand-14 field has been in production since May 2010, with cumulative
oil production by October 2021 amounted to 0.96 MMSTB or 11% of its OOIP of
8.73 MMSTB, so it’s necessary to plan for field development to recover the
remaining reserves and optimize production from the "MNJ" Sand-14 layer. The
reservoir simulation applied in this field is the addition of infill wells by determining
the correct number and locations of wells to achieve the optimum results.
This simulation process begins with data preparation, which the data used is data that has
been validated or processed in the simulation and has reached the history match stage and
is considered well-executed and and meets SKK Migas standards. After that, the PI
Matching is performed, then the infill well addition scenarios are done by
determining the points and distances between the new wells based on the Oil
Producing Potential (OPP) map, which is the combined map of Oil per Unit Area
(OPU) map and the Flowrate Capability map. Analyze and determine the optimal
number of wells and best scenarios to be applied to the "MNJ" Sand-14 field by
paying attention to recovery factor and NP values above the average of existing
wells. The planned scenarios consist of 8 scenario.
The results of the running base case obtained an NP value of 2.7 MMSTB with a
recovery factor value of 31.14%, after that a scenario prediction was carried out
and the best scenario for the "MNJ" Sand-14 field is Scenario 4, with cumulative
oil production of 3.19 MMSTB or providing an increase of 0.47 MMSTB from the
basecase cumulative oil production (RF), and resulting RF of 36.50% or provides
an additional of 5.37% from the basecase RF..
