Abstract

Kajian teknis dimensi kolam pengendapan dilakukan pada inpit dump 71 dan Pit 71 N PT. Perkasa Inakakerta Kabupaten Kutai Timur Provinsi Kalimantan
Timur. Terletak antara 117°35’56” - 117°44’14” BT dan 0°44’41” - 0°53’23” LS,kegiatan tambang batubara di PT. Perkasa Inakakerta menggunakan sistem
tambang terbuka dengan metode open pit. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kolam yang meliputi karakter air permukaan tercemar, jenis pencemar,
ukuran butir pencemar, macam dan jumlah kougulan yang digunakan, geometri
kolam pengendapan, periode pengerukan kolam pengendapan dengan melakukan
pengamatan, pengukuran, pengambilan conto, pengujian dilaboratorium, kajian ini
merupakan bagian dari water management.
Berdasarkan curah hujan selama 6 tahun (2009-2014) curah hujan rencana
adalah 126,4 mm/hari, intensitas curah hujan 43,74 mm/jam dengan periode ulang
hujan 3 tahun dan resiko hidrologi sebesar 97,39 %. Sumber air kolam
pengendapan berasal dari hasil pemompaan dengan debit 729,27 m/jam. Perameter kualitas air didasarkan pada nilai pH 6, TSS antara 22,8 Mg/l –177 Mg/l, Besi (Fe) antara 0,4 – 2,3 Mg/l, Mangan (Mn) 0,1 – 0,4 Mg/l. Dimensi
kolam pengendapan 71 C memiliki luas 7.644 m2 volume 31.734m
terlalu luas untuk menampung air hasil pemompaan sehingga perlu perbaikan dimensi dengan luas 5.505 m2 dan volume 24.663 m3. Koagulan yang digunakan untuk
menetralkan air asam adalah kapur padam (CaO) sebanyak 71 kg/jam. Alat yang digunakan untuk perawatan (treatment) menggunakan Backhoe PC 200, waktu
pengerukan didasarkan pada kecepatan pengendapan (vt) 2,8 x 10, waktu yang dibutuhkan air untuk mengendapn (tv) 28,76 menit, kecepatan air dalam kolam kompartemen 1 (vh) 1,66 x 10-4, kompartemen 2 1,58 x 10-4, kompartemen 3 1,48x 10
-4 waktu yang dibutuhkan air keluar dari kolam (th) kompartemen 1 68 jam,kompartemen 2 79 jam, kompartemen 3 85 jam, padatan yang berhasil diendapkan dalam 1 hari kompartemen 1 11, 83 m3 kompartemen 2 10,62 m3, kompartemen 310,54 m3 dan waktu pengerukan kompartemen 1 13 bulan sekali, kompartemen 215 bulan sekali dan kompartemen 3 16 bulan sekali.

Technical study carried out on the dimensions of the settling ponds inpit Pit
dump 71 and 71 N PT. Perkasa Inakakerta East Kutai in East Borneo province.
Located between 117 ° 35'56 "- 117 ° 44'14" E and 0 ° 44'41 "- 0 ° 53'23" latitude,
coal mining activities at PT. Perkasa Inakakerta system using open pit mine with
open pit methods. This study was conducted to determine the condition of the
pool which includes the character of surface water is polluted, the type of
contaminants, grain size contaminants, kind and amount coagulant used, the
geometry of the settling ponds, the period of dredging the settling ponds to make
observations, measurements, taking samples, testing laboratory, this study a part
of water management.
Based on the rainfall during the six-year (2009-2014) plan rainfall is 126,4
mm /day, the intensity of rainfall is 43,74 mm / hours with 3-year return period
rainfall and hydrology risk by 97,39%. The source of water comes from the
settling pond discharge pumping with 729.27 m3 /hours.
Parameters of water quality based on the value of pH 6, TSS was 22.8 Mg / l -
177 Mg / l, iron (Fe) between 0.4 to 2.3 Mg / l, Manganese (Mn) from 0.1 to 0.4
mg / l. Dimensions settling ponds 71 C has an area of 7.644mv2 31.734 m volume
is too broad to accommodate the results of pumping water that needs
improvement with broad dimensions of 5505 m2 and 24 663 m3 volume.Coagulant used to neutralize acidic water is quenched lime (CaO) as much as 71
kg/hours. The tools used for treatment using Backhoe PC 200, when dredging is based on sedimentation velocity (vt) 2.8 x 10-3, the time it takes water to
sedimentation (tv) 28.76 minutes, the speed of the water in the pond compartment 1 1.66 x 10-4, 1.58 x 10-4 second compartment, a compartment 3 1,48 x 10 the
time it takes the water out of the pool (th) 68 hours a compartment 1,compartment 2 79 hours, 3 compartments 85 hours, solids were successfully deposited in the compartment 1 11,83 m3 compartment 2 10,62 m, compartment
3 10,54 m3
and a dredging compartment 1 13 months, compartment 2 15 months and compartment 3 16 months.
