Abstract

Desa Mandiri Budaya (DMB) is an autonomous, sovereign, integrity-driven
and innovative village that actualizes its distinctive values through the utilization of
its rich resources and culture, involving active community participation in
development and empowerment programs aimed at preserving the natural
environment, ensuring community welfare and tranquility within the spirit of unity
in diversity. One of the villages that has attained the DMB status is Girikerto
Village. This research aims to find alternative primary strategies for the
development of Girikerto Village as a DMB.
The research method employed was qualitative, using EFE, IFE, SWOT,
and QSPM matrix analyses. The research object was the DMB of Girikerto Village.
Primary data were collected through interviews with relevant informants, while
secondary data were obtained from literature studies and documents from the
Girikerto Village as a DMB.
The research results were as follows: 1) The EFE matrix yielded a total score of
3.82, indicating that the DMB responded well to existing opportunities and threats.
The IFE matrix scored 3.18, indicating that Girikerto Village DMB was internally
strong. 2) The SWOT matrix analysis resulted in intensive and integrative
strategies. 3) The QSPM matrix results were: (a) Encouraging collaborations
between the government, universities, and related institutions to support
community-based human resource and entrepreneurship developments, with an
STAS (6.41); (b) Actively promoting culture, tourism, and MSMEs through various
media, including social media, websites, exhibitions, and optimizing partnerships
with tour and travel agents, as well as related institutions to increase promotional
reach, with an STAS (6.33); (c) Diversifying tourist attractions and community
empowerment programs, with an STAS (6.12). From the results of this study in an
effort to develop DMB, the Girikerto Village Government must collaborate in a
balanced manner to maintain the value and culture of local wisdom in order to
maintain its authenticity and need to make regeneration efforts and always involve
the younger generation in the activities of the four pillars of Desa Mandiri Budaya...
