(RAKL), yaitu 10 genotipe jagung manis 50/4-2BxKD1-1(2/2/4), 50/4-2BxKD1-
1(1/214), 50/4-2CCxKD1-3(18/9/23), 50/4-2CGxKD1-3(26/1/1), 50/4-
2CGExKD1-3(48/6/1), 50/4-2CCExKD1-1(2/2/4), 50/4-2CCPxKD1-1(2/2/4),
50/4-2CCPxKD1-3(12/7/1), Maestro, dan Talenta. Variabel yang diamati adalah
tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, umur berbunga jantan, umur
berbunga betina, umur panen, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol

ABSTRACT
Yield test is an important step in plant breeding activities, yield test is used to find
out which genotypes that has better potential. This research aims to obtain the best
growth, best yield, and better hybrid candidates from 10 sweet corn genotypes
(Zea mays L. var saccharata). The research was conducted on the field, using
Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), using 10 sweet corn genotypes
50/4-2BxKD1-1(2/2/4), 50/4-2BxKD1-1(1/214), 50/4 -2CCxKD1-3(9/18/23),
50/4-2CGxKD1-3(1/26/1), 50/4-2CGExKD1-3(6/48/1), 50/4-2CCExKD1-
1(2/2/4), 50/4-2CCPxKD1-1(2/2/4), 50/4-2CCPxKD1-3(12/7/1), Maestro, and
Talenta. Observed variables are plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter,
male flowering age, female flowering age, harvest age, ear length, ear diameter,
ear weight with husks, ear weight without husks, and kernel sweetness. Obtained
data was analyzed using analysis of variance at 5% level and continued with the
Scott-Knott test at 5% level. The results of this research showed that the type of
genotype has a real influence on the variables of plant heights, number of leaves,
ear length, ear diameter, ear weight with husks, and ear weight without husks.
Genotypes G2 and G4 are potential genotypes to be used as new hybrid varieties
candidates as those genotypes showed the best yield result compared to
comparison varieties Maestro and Talenta.
