RINGKASAN
KEBERHASILAN STIMULASI HYDRAULIC FRACTURING
SUMUR “AR-8” LAPANGAN “RAKAPAN” SUMATERA
SELATAN

Sumur AR-8 terletak di Lapangan Rakapan, Cekungan Sumatra Selatan,
Sumur ini berproduksi Lapisan R4 pada Formasi Talang Akar. Pada Sumur AR-8
dilakukan Stimulasi Hydraulic Fracturing untuk meningkatkan nilai permeabilitas
dan memperbesar jari-jari efektif sumur (rw’) dengan pertimbangan bahwa Lapisan
R4 didominasi oleh Batupasir dengan permeabilitas moderat tepat untuk dilakukan
stimulasi menggunakan metode Hydraulic Fracturing. Pasca Hydraulic Fracturing
perlu dilakukan evaluasi untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan dari kenaikan
kemampuan sumur untuk berproduksi.
Evaluasi keberhasilan dimulai dengan evaluasi sebelum Hydraulic
Fracturing meliputi pemilihan fluida perekah, Proppant, dan aditif. Evaluasi hasil
perhitungan geometri rekahan dengan metode Perkins-Kern-Nordgren 2D
(PKN2D). Evaluasi nilai skin total setelah hydraulic fracturing meliputi: skin
damage dan skin perforation (Metode K.C. Hong) serta penentuan skin partial
penetration completion dan skin turbulent flow (Metode A.S. Odeh). Evaluasi
peningkatan nilai parameter produktivitas sumur meliputi: permeabilitas rata-rata
(Metode Howard and Fast) dan productivity index (Metode Cinco-ley, Samaniego
and Dominique). Evaluasi laju produksi yang meliputi penentuan kurva Inflow
Performance Relationship menggunakan Metode Pudjo Sukarno yang melibatkan
skin.
Hasil dari stimulasi Hydraulic Fracturing menunjukan terbentuknya
rekahan sepanjang 245,93 ft dan tinggi rekahan 9,022 ft yang membentuk
permeabilitas rekahan senilai 129,93 mD, effective well radius (rw’) senilai 59,02
ft dan perhitungan skin total yang menunjukan perbaikan senilai -4,529. Pada Pwf
1932 psi Sumur AR-8 menghasilkan produksi mencapai 128 BFPD.

Well AR-8 is located in the Rakapan Field, South Sumatra Basin. This well
produces from Layer R4 in the Talang Akar Formation. Hydraulic Fracturing
stimulation was performed on Well AR-8 to enhance permeability and increase the
effective well radius (rw’) considering that Layer R4 is dominated by sandstone
with moderate permeability, making it suitable for stimulation using the Hydraulic
Fracturing method to. Post-Hydraulic Fracturing, an evaluation is necessary to
determine the success of the well's enhanced production capability.
The evaluation of success begins with the pre-Hydraulic Fracturing
evaluation, including the selection of fracturing fluid, proppant, and additives. The
fracturing geometry calculations using the Perkins-Kern-Nordgren 2D (PKN2D)
method. Evaluation of total skin value after hydraulic fracturing includes: skin
damage and skin perforation (K.C. Hong method), and partial penetration
completion skin and turbulent flow skin (A.S. Odeh method). Evaluation of well
productivity parameters improvement includes: average permeability (Howard and
Fast method) and productivity index (Cinco-Ley, Samaniego, and Dominique
method). Evaluation of production rate includes determining the Inflow
Performance Relationship curve using the Pudjo Sukarno method, which involves
skin.
The results from the Hydraulic Fracturing stimulation showed the
formation of fractures with a length of 245.93 ft and a height of 9.022 ft, which
formed a fracture permeability of 129.93 mD, an effective well radius (rw’) of 59.02
ft, and a total skin value improvement of -4.529. At a Pwf of 1932 psi, Well AR-8
produced a flow rate of 128 BFPD.
