Abstract

RINGKASAN

analysis (DCA) dengan metode Trial Error and X2 Chi-square Test. Dimulai
Reserve (RR) sebesar 22,535 MSTB. Sementara sumur RF-131 memiliki nilai EUR
sebesar 275,897 MSTB dengan RR sebesar 25,634 MSTB. Recovery Factor (RF)
dari sumur RF-031 sebesar 2,27% & sumur RF-131 sebesar 3,15%. Diprediksi
bahwa well abandonment time dari sumur RF-031 yaitu pada Januari 2026
sementara sumur RF-131 pada Agustus 2025.

ABSTRACT
DETERMINING OIL RESERVES IN LAYER X OF THE "RF-
031” & “RF-131” WELL IN THE “RAZ” FIELD USING THE
DECLINE CURVE ANALYSIS METHOD

Wells RF-031 & RF-131 are two of several wells in the "RAZ" Field in the northern
area of the Central Sumatra Basin. It is known that the RF-031 well started
producing in 2004 with total production to date of 175,32 MSTB. Meanwhile, the
RF-131 well began production in 2015 with total production to date of 249,36
MSTB. As time goes by the reserves stored from these two wells will definitely
decrease. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out calculations to determine the
estimated production value that can be carried out by these two wells. From this
value, it will also be possible to determine the value of remaining reserves that can
be produced up to the economic production limit of 10 BOPD (company target) as
well as the remaining production life of the two wells.
The calculation method used in this study is decline curve analysis (DCA) with the
Trial Error and X2 Chi-square Test method. Starting by determining the decline
period from the semilog graph between production rate (qo) vs time (t) for each
well. Then calculations are carried out to determine the type of decline (b) and rate
of decline (Di). After that, carry out a forecast using the formula for the selected
decline type and the decline rate value that was calculated previously. The forecast
is carried out to determine the economic life of production, namely until the
production rate has reached the economic limit of 10 BOPD.
From the results of calculations and analysis, it is known that the RF-031 well has
an Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR) value of 197,857 MSTB with a Remaining
Reserve (RR) of 22,535 MSTB. Meanwhile, the RF-131 well has a EUR value of
275,897 MSTB with an RR of 25,634 MSTB. Recovery Factor (RF) from well RF-
031 is 2,27% & well RF-131 is 3,15%. It is predicted that the well abandonment
time for the RF-031 well will be January 2026 while for the RF-131 well it will be
August 2025.
