EVALUASI DAN OPTIMASI ELECTRICAL SUBMERSIBLE
PUMP (ESP) PADA SUMUR “RA-11” DI
LAPANGAN”SELAYANG”

Sumur “RA-11” Lapangan “Selayang” merupakan sumur dengan menggunakan
artificial lift berupa Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP). Dimana terpasang pompa
pergantian pump setting depth (PSD) menghasilkan peningkatan laju produksi
32%.

ABSTRACT
EVALUATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF ELECTRICAL
SUBMERSIBLE PUMP (ESP) AT WELL “RA-11” IN FIELD
“SELAYANG”

Well "RA-11" "Selayang" field is a well using artificial lift in the form of Electrical
Submersible Pump (ESP). There is a pump installed with type D460N/47.5Hz/257
Stages with a pump setting depth (PSD) of 6047 ft. then actual production of 141
BFPD with water cut reaching 89.27%. It is found that the pump performance is
not optimal because the actual production rate of 141 BFPD is lower than the pump
operating range of 200-650 BFPD. so that it will cause downthrust problems which
will cause the pump to be damaged faster.
The first analysis was conducted by determining the optimal production rate and
flow pressure. To determine the productivity of the well, Inflow Performance
Relationship analysis was carried out using the IPR wiggins method, resulting in a
Qmax of 2337 BFPD and an optimum production rate of 1732 BFPD 76% of Qmax.
Furthermore, from the evaluation calculation, the results obtained are PIP of
1534.7 psi, TDH of 2703.380 ft with a pump efficiency of 32%. Stages in ESP
optimization include data collection, IPR curve generation to determine the target
flow rate, frequency sensitivity test, number of stages sensitivity test, and pump
setting depth (PSD) sensitivity test to obtain the optimum production rate in
accordance with the operating range of the installed pump.
The results of the optimization consisting of the three sensitivity tests found that
changing the pump setting depth (PSD) resulted in an increase in the optimum
production rate to 335 BFPD from the existing production rate of 141 BFPD, Pwf
to 1500 psi, and the optimum pump setting depth (PSD) to 3600 ft from the existing
PSD of 6047 ft with pump efficiency to 52% from the existing pump efficiency of
32%.
