PEMBERIAN PUPUK SILIKA PADAT

ABSTRAK
Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang
banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat. Pemuliaan tanaman jagung manis secara umum
bertujuan untuk mendapatkan varietas yang mempunyai kuantitas dan kualitas
tinggi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Pangkalan Udara Husein Sastranegara,
Jalan Nurtanio, Kelurahan Husein Sastranegara, Kecamatan Cicendo, Kota
Bandung, Jawa Barat pada bulan Mei 2023 sampai Agustus 2023. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk silika padat terhadap
respon pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas jagung manis hibrida. Penelitian
ini merupakan percobaan lapangan yang disusun secara faktorial dengan
menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) yang terdiri dari
empat perlakuan dan tiga blok, yaitu: kontrol; silika konsentrasi 0,75; 1; dan 1,25
gr/lt. Varietas jagung manis yang digunakan yaitu Royal 76, Super Sweet Corn dan
Sweet Boy. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam taraf 5 % yang dilanjutkan
uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian pada varietas Royal 76
(V1) perlakuan pupuk silika padat 1,25 gr/lt (S3) dapat meningkatkan panjang daun
8 MST. Pupuk silika padat konsentrasi 0,75 gr/lt (S1) dan varietas Super Sweet
Corn (V2) merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan
hasil varietas tanaman jagung manis hibrida.

SWEET CORN (Zea mays saccharata Sturt ) VARIETIES ON GIVING OF
SOLID SILICA FERTILIZIER

ABSTRACT
Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) is a horticultural crop that is widely
consumed by public. Sweet corn plant breeding generally aims to obtain varieties
that have high quantity and quality. This research was carried out at the Husein
Sastranegara Air Base Garden, Nurtanio St., Husein Sastranegara Village, Cicendo
District, Bandung City, West Java from May 2023 to August 2023. This research
aims to determine the effect of applying solid silica fertilizer on the growth response
and yield of several hybrid sweet corn varieties. This research was a field
experiment arranged factorially using a Randomized Complete Block Design
(RCBD) consisting of four treatments and three blocks, namely: control; silica
concentration 0.75; 1; and 1.25 gr/lt. The sweet corn varieties used are Royal 76,
Super Sweet Corn and Sweet Boy. Data were analyzed using a 5% level of variance
followed by the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results of research on
the Royal 76 (V1) variety treatment with 1.25 gr/lt solid silica fertilizer (S3) can
increase leaf length by 8 WAP. Solid silica fertilizer with a concentration of 0.75
gr/lt (S1) and the Super Sweet Corn (V2) variety is the best treatment to increase
the growth and yield of hybrid sweet corn varieties.
