Memengaruhi Partisipasi Masyarakat Pada Program Desa Mandiri Peduli
Gambut di (Studi Kasus Desa Bagan Melibur Kecamatan Merbau Kabupaten
Kepulauan Meranti). Dibimbing oleh Siti Hamidah.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Menganalisis tingkat partisipasi masyarakat pada
program Desa Mandiri Peduli Gambut 2) Menganalisis pengaruh faktor usia,
tingkat pendidikan, lama tinggal, penghasilan, dan pengetahuan masyarakat
pada program Desa Mandiri Peduli Gambut 3) Menganalisis permasalahan
masyarakat yang tinggal pada lahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan
kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey. Metode penentuan lokasi
menggunakan metode studi kasus. Adapun metode pengambilan responden
menggunakan sensus sebanyak 69 orang yang merupakan masyarakat Desa
Bagan Melibur yang tergabung dalam kelompok masyarakat peserta program.
Teknik analisis menggunakan metode deskriptif dan regresi linear berganda.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Tingkat partisipasi
masyarakat peserta Program Desa Mandiri Peduli Gambut termasuk dalam
kategori tinggi. 2) Analisis perhitungan Koefisien Determinasi (R2) diperoleh
nilai Adjusted R Square adalah sebesar 0,447. Tingkat pendidikan, lama
tinggal, dan pengetahuan masyarakat memiliki pengaruh sedangkan usia dan
penghasilan tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap partisipasi masyarakat. 3)
Permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat yang tinggal di lahan gambut adalah
kebakaran lahan gambut, gangguan hama seperti hewan liar dan ternak, minim
modal pertanian, pengeboran minyak PT ITA, keterbatasan jenis tanaman,
kepemilikan lahan konsesi PT RAPP dan tidak tersedia rumah produksi olahan
sagu di desa.

ABSTRACT
This study aims at 1) Analyze the level of community participation in the Desa
Mandiri Peduli Gambut program 2) Analyze the influence of age, education
level, length of stay, income, and community knowledge in the Desa Mandiri
Peduli Gambut program 3) Analyze the problems of people living on land. This
research uses a quantitative approach with a type of survey research. The
method of determining the location using the case study method. The method of
taking respondents used a census of 69 people who were people from Bagan
Melibur Village who were members of the community groups participating in
the program. The analysis technique uses descriptive methods and multiple
linear regression. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: 1) The
participation rate of the community participating in the Peatland Care
Independent Village Program is included in the high category. 2) Analysis of
the calculation of the Coefficient of Determination (R2) obtained the value of
Adjusted R Square is 0.447. The level of education, length of stay, and
knowledge of the community have an influence while age and income have no
influence on community participation. 3) The problems faced by people living
on peatlands are peatland fires, pest disturbances such as wild animals and
livestock, lack of agricultural capital, PT ITA oil drilling, limited crop species,
PT RAPP concession land ownership and no sago processed production
houses available in the village.
