Abstract

INTISARI
Daerah penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Nusa
Halmahera Minerals yang berada di desa
Tabobo, Kecamatan Malifut, Kabupaten Halmaher
a Utara, Propinsi Maluku Utara. Luas
daerah PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals yaitu
29.622 hektar. Secara geografis terletak pada
koordinat 127º43’ BT dan 1º07’ LU. PT Nusa
Halmahera Minerals merupakan perusahaan
tambang emas yang memiliki beberapa daerah operasi penambangan yaitu Tambang
Gosowong (
open pit mine
), Tambang Toguraci (
underground mine
) dan Tambang Kencana
(
underground mine
)
.
Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode
survey lapangan, metode sampling air
sungai, metode analisis laboratorium. Unt
uk metode evaluasi menggunakan yaitu metode
kuantitatif dengan cara membandingkan hasil la
boratorium dengan Baku Mutu PP Nomor 82
Tahun 2001 kelas 2 dan Kepmen LH No 202 Tahun 2004.
Hasil analisis dan evaluasi data, menunjukka
n bahwa kegiatan pembuangan air tambang
terhadap kualitas air sungai Sambiki dan Bora di titik
outlet settling pond
(RSPK
Outlet
)
,
sungai Sambiki (titik CSS I, CSS II, CSS III,
SS10DS u/s dan SS10DS d/s) dan sungai Bora
(SB15TD u/s dan SB15TD d/s) tidak menim
bulkan pencemaran pada kondisi air sungai.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis di
laboratorium PT Nusa Halm
ahera Minerals menunjukkan bahwa
kadar unsur pH berkisar antara 6,4-8,34
dengan standar baku mutu
yang ditetapkan 6-9, untuk
kadar unsur TSS yaitu 5-31 mg/l
dengan standar baku mutu T
SS yaitu 50 mg/l berdasarkan
peruntukan air kelas 2 untuk PP nomor 82
Tahun 2001 dan untuk Kepmen LH Nomor 202
tahun 2004 yaitu 200 mg/l, serta kadar DO dengan nilai berkisar antara 4,43-7,89 mg/l. Untuk
kandungan logam berat (As, Cd, Cr,
Cu, Pb, Hg, Ni dan Zn ) yang di
analisis di laboratorium

Nusantara (WLN) Manado hasilnya menunjukkan
tidak melebihi baku
mutu baik berdasarkan PP nomor 82 Ta
hun 2001 dan Kepmen LH Nomor 202 tahun 2004.

sa Halmahera Minerals in the village
Tabobo, District Malifut, North Halmaher

The results of the analysis and ev
aluation of data, suggesting that the
activity of the mine drainage water quali
ty and Bora Sambiki settling pond at the
outlet point (RSPK Outlet), river Sambik
i (CSS point I, II CSS, CSS III, SS10DS
u/s and SS10DS d/s) and river Bora
(SB15TD u/s and SB15TD d/s) does not
cause pollution of the river water conditi
ons. Based on the results of laboratory
analysis of PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals
showed that pH levels ranging from 6.4
to 8.34 elements with quality standards set
6-9, to the levels of TSS element is 5-
31 mg/l TSS with the quality standards 50
mg / l based on grade 2 water allotment
for the PP number 82 Year 2001 and for LH
Decree No. 202 of
2004 which is 200
mg/l, and DO levels with values rangi
ng from 4.43 to 7.89 mg
